Just got back from a lovely bank holiday weekend at the Lodge. What a lovely place, and Dorothy the owner couldnt have been nicer. The room was clean and comfy so pleased, we had a sea view room too. The lodge is perfectly placed for the beach and for the town as it is only minutes away. So thankyou Dorothy... More

Great central location, room was clean and mega comfy bed! Proprietor was very friendly & helpful, didn't mention the £20 key deposit before we arrived though. On the downside shower was very poor and no hot water all weekend

Oh dear. I phoned the lodge before booking to confirm that they were indeed dog friendly. The lady that answered said yes but there is a £2 charge per night and told me that I probably wouldn't pay as no one ever does. I asked if she preferred booking on-line or over the phone. She said on-line as "that way... More

I came here with my partner after we walked around trying to find a place with vacancies for 2 nights. We stumbled upon St Nicholas Lodge. Looked fine from the outside. We didn't want a place that was going to break the bank as some places at the coast really know how to charge!! It was quite cheap and on... More

The room was the furthest from lift with more steps in the corridors and dismal. Only a couple of hangers and one shelf which we couldnt reach to put our stuff on.... More

firstly I must say i think there maybe some confusion between the st. Nicholas lodge and saint Nicholas hotel because some of these reviews don't seem to match the guest house. we have stayed before in room no. 3 and it was very pleasant and clean with a nice shower and a bay window with a view of the sea...
