Great to return to my favourite hotel in Scarborough again in order to watch Yorkshire CCC. Some 15 minutes from the ground and a walk through or around Peasholm Park, the Lysander Hotel is ideally situated for visiting the home of Scarborough CC to watch County cricket. I must admit I am somewhat reluctant to do this review as most... More

We booked late and were allocated a top floor room which was very clean and tidy but it was so small that we had difficulty moving around. The shower had low water pressure and it was not very good at all. The hosts were very friendly and all the staff were very pleasant and went out of their way to help... More

Nice quiet location within walking distance of the beach, takes approximately 15/20 minutes to walk into the town although there are buses that run frequently. The hotel itself is very clean, our room was a smaller double but still plenty of room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all... Stayed here for 3 nights in a single room, had everything I needed and very helpful, friendly staff. Full english breakfast is just what is needed in the morning as well as a smile from all the waitresses.

i couldn`t fault this bed and breakfast for friendliness, cleanliness and lovely breakfast, however the room was so tiny that was difficult to find space to sort out my belongings. Difficult for 2 people to manouver around each other.

I am originally from Scarborough so know the town well. Chose this hotel for it's convenient location close to my late mother's home for the occasion of her funeral. Andy and Julie couldn't have been more helpful or sensitive. Although I had checked in and left again earlier, when I finally arrived later than intended with my husband and daughter... More

Went with my walking group for the weekend and had a fantastic time. Julie, Andy ,Hillary and Beth all made our stay feel more than home from home, very relaxed and friendly, they really made our short break,. Food fantastic and rooms exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Looking forward to going back again.
