Can't thank the staff at this hotel enough. We turned up at 2am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning with a 3 year old asleep and after a 140 mile drive and they made checking in effortless despite rather rowdy guests also trying to book a room at the same time. On top of this I'd left my watch in the... More

Great Hotel. Central location, on the sea front. Only 2 minutes walk into the town centre. Excellent, friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Scarborough.

This is advertised as a "Basic en suite accommodation in a seafront budget hotel with an on-site cafe/bar with modern decor." We had a very pleasant and helpful welcome, our room with a sea view was very large and clearly would be allocated to a family if requested as there were mattresses under the bed. The front of the hotel... More

This place is a dump. The rooms and bathrooms are grotty and require totally refurbishing. You can hear people in other rooms and when they walk past your room. Every step you take the floorboards creak. It might be slightly cheaper than some places but it's still not worth staying there.

Travel lodge is a value for money comfortable place to stay. You know it's a budget hotel when you book. Everything more than adequate. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect for our needs this past weekend.

I used to work in this hotel 50 years ago as a student, when it was in private hands The rear rooms were like something out of a Hitchcock movie. Although the hotel is unrecognisable and a little clinical - as it is absolutely spotlessly clean - the rear room I had was extremely comfortable with a really good en-suite.... More

Clean and comfortable room and to top it off we were put in a huge family room. There were a few leaks in the bathroom but nothing to complain about. The bed was comfy and staff very friendly. Will definately stay here again.

stayed at Scarborough travelodge again, very clean and tidy room with sea view. Excellent value for the price paid, can recommend for anyone that needs a cheap base to stay. Also had the breakfast with our stay apart from the Orange juice this was a good standard and price. Centrally located can't really ask for anymore!!! The only down side... More

Beautiful old hotel by the sea = with modern interior and local facilities on doorstep. This includes restaurants and shops. Scarborough is a tourist resort, however, still a famous fishing port with a longstanding history and suitable for brisk sea side and hill walking. Hotel is clean and comfortable with pleasant staff
