The toilet and sink do not drain in room 237. Although the staff were excellent and could not do enough to help, they are let down by a lack of investment from Travelodge, who have invested in a make-over of the hotel to fit their branding but have not invested in maintaining the building and plumbing. At an average of... More

Great location, handy for shops, beach and nightlife. Although the rooms are clean(ours was huge!) the hotel is ready for its planned refurbishment. All in all though good value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful.

My son and I stayed here this year and it was lovely, staff were and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine for the price you could eat as much as you liked. Would stay here again, We used it as a base for our weekend in Scarborough which makes it easier for us to see friends who... More

Aug 5TH One night Family room 309. Wanted a day out with the little one so booked well in advance and found a family room with double bed and two singles for £46 including breakfast. BARGAIN!!! Pretty easy to find and also found a parking space just round the corner from the hotel. It was a pain as always paying,... More

....there are parts of the hotel which are in need of major cleaning/renovation! This includes inside the room, the duvet was absolutely filthy which I reported. As for the view of the building site and generator type noise outside of the room. . What can I say? I would have asked to move rooms but they were fully booked. Having... More

We stayed here for one night this weekend (16.8.14) and came for the site seeing not for a luxury hotel however we did expect cleanliness and this isn't something we experienced. Unfortunately the bedding was stained and had a number of rips in it. At breakfast the plates and cups were dirty and the breakfast was cold. I'm not one... More

Stayed for 2 nights in August with my Husband and 2 children (3 and 6).Travelodge provided everything I expected, having stayed in Travelodge's in the past. We used the room as a place to lay our heads while visiting the seaside, during the school summer holidays. The room was booked during the sale, for £17 per night, and as such... More

Fortunately only booked one night in this lodge. Due to the sea front location I expected better. Tired rooms. Bathroom needed cleaning and the drain pipes outside my room was hanging off so when it rained water poured down my wall. Carpet filthy and desperately needed cleaning. Come on Travel Lodge we don't mind basic but we do expect clean... More

We have visited this Travelodge often and enjoy it every time. The staff are so warm and welcoming, always smiling and very helpful. We had a lovely sea view (thankyou Adam) and a clean room. Will visit again.

Parking is a little tricky as it's in a busy area. You can park & unload for 30 minutes or so and then have to put it out on the street in a nearby location. We managed that fairly easily and it was a busy time so should be OK out of season. The room itself was clean and in... More
