We booked this Hotel to visit friends in Scarborough. We once lived in Scarborough and remembered this Hotel as the St Nicholas. When we lived in Scarborough we had no reason to visit and to be honest we would not visit again. This Hotel is old with a fresh lick of paint. The rooms have the lovely Travelodge bed time-warped... We had originally booked to stay in a hotel across the road which was completely disgusting. I was so upset and ran across to see if they had rooms. They were so lovely and helpful and because I was upset checked through all the rooms to give me the best one. Lovely veiw, clean. Basic but you know what you're... More

***** MOTORIST BEWARE *****, there are no parking bays for this hotel, what parking is available is shared with 3 other hotels, parking attendants were ticketing people at 10.40 pm!!!,the hotel itself is in bad need of a complete over haul, the damp musty smell that greets you in reception takes your breath away, sagging floor boards, mould up some walls and bad evening meals... Have stayed in a number of hotels in Scarborough and various rooms within the Travelodge. First stay at Travelodge was good-room on upper floor, sea view, small but clean. But since then - various rooms on different floors, including front and back of hotel. Rooms at front but on lower floors-noisy, woken by passing drunks overnight, could smell smoke from... More

Stayed for one night with my husband and 2 children. So glad it wasn't more. Got a room that was overlooked by others with dirty nappies on the roof outside the window. The room itself was smelly and damp on the walls. On entering the hotel it smelt damp. Staff unfriendly. Needs a revamp desperately!

A lovely hotel, our room was really good with stunning sea views, it was clean, comfortable and tidy and the breakfast was adequate for the price paid. Only tip to give is make sure the hairdryer is in the room BEFORE washing hair!

Large family size room, this was last minute booking at the end of the day, found staff friendly and the hotel stay quite. From the outside nothing much to write home about but instead it's ok.. Rooms are in need of a lick of paint and damp patches on ceiling sorting but never the less overall an "ok" stop-over. Cheap -... More

Normally use Premier Inn whilst travelling the country. Used Travelodge as I was working in Filey for 2 days, so it was more convenience rather than choice to stay here. Done the same a few months back in Cambridge, as it was working on the same leisure / retail that travelodge was located. Food was to a very very poor... More
