Just returned from St Nicholas Travelodge after a very enjoyable two night stay. The weather was excellent for December. The evening food was very good on both nights. We tried the Indian menu on our last nigh & thoroughly enjoyed it. We opted to leave the car in the NCP car park for the duration of our stay which cost... more

Very good basic accommodation at the price. Spartan but comfortable bedroom, adequate size for a one night stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good value breakfast. Good central location with car parking outside (if you are lucky enough to find a space, as we were) more

I suspect that we were allocated a "naff" room because we booked six months in advance and got the room at a large discount, surely they can't all be of such a bad finish. However I can only go on our impression. We stayed in room 101, the floor wasn't level and consequently whilst the bottom of the door to... more

Just got back from a 2 night stay at the Scarborough Travel Lodge. We were in room 302 and we were hoping for a sea view but the view from our room was not very nice. Our room was very spacious and spotless clean so this made up for the lack of a sea view. The location of the Travel... more

Great stay. Hotel very clean, friendly staff. Parking is a bit of problem but the best place is the muli storey behind the Casino on North Street. It's locked up overnight so make sure you don't leave anything that you might need in the car. It's only a very short walk to the hotel from there and we would definately... more

I actually live in Scarborough anyway, but booked a stay here for two reasons. Firstly, my children love staying in hotels and at £9 a night for a family room, plus £5.99 for a breakfast booked online with the children eating free, I was happy to pay just for a treat. Obviously this was booked during a promotion but having... more

A good basic hotel...we stayed in room 208, a side view, sea facing room which was spacious and clean with a large bathroom. Light and airy due to the large bow window, which rattled in the strong breeze and had to be packed with hotel menus. The wall adjacent to the corridor, made only of plasterboard and very thin was... more

Spent a weekend at the St Nicholas, mainly coz we got a good deal on the travlodge saver rates. Room was clean and spacious. No frills (maybe a set of drawers would have been handy for a longer stay). Location is great for the town centre. Parking can be a problem but if you know Scarborough (and dont mind a... more

Just stayed at Travelodge in Scarborough for three nights. Room was superb and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered clean towels etc daily No frills but absolutely fine in every way. No free parking but I understand cheaper rates at a local carpark are available through Travelodge. We chose to park in free all day spaces... more

you get good value from travelodge but do the rooms have to be so dull. This one was painted in a kind of stone colour, looked like it had had a cement wash, and the curtains were exactly the same colour! it made it so dull, a pair of red curtains would have warmed the room at no extra cost... more
