Had a five day stay for a family break at the Cavendish. Our family room was very spacious and had a modern en suite shower room. Everything was clean, fresh, tasteful and in working order. Nice touch was fridge on each landing for fresh milk for my cuppa. I hate UHT sachets!! Breakfast in the morning had a good selection... More

From start to finish excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Clean, elegant, lots of extra touches, such as fresh milk in a fridge for each room on every landing. Very good high quality food. Evening meal available e.g fresh cod in cream sauce with prawns...we will be back

We got back this evening after a couple of nights at The Cavendish. From the lovely informative welcome from Joanna and Robert on our arrival to the goodbye when we left, our stay there was perfect. Lovely spacious bedroom, with en-suite shower room, lovely toiletries, even moisturising lotion, cleanser and cotton wool balls were supplied! Nice fresh milk for the... More

I found the Cavendish welcoming and comfortable. The proprietor was very polite, warm and welcoming, as well as very professional in providing me with everything I might need. The hotel itself is small and a bit dated, but well presented and clean (though there is a lingering smell from the kitchen that is rather unpleasant). I booked a single room... More

CHARGED FOR STAINING BED LINEN !! I stayed at The Cavendish which is a very small hotel with my daughter on Sat 29/3. The hotel is clean and rooms were spacious if a little dark, but it was a pleasant place, it is on a reasonably quiet road some distance from the centre. We had a decent nights sleep and... More

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Jo. The room that we had was very spacious, a comfortable bed and very bright & clean. I also liked the little extras - a bowl of sweets, chocolates, box of tissues, cleansing lotion and body lotion. The meals are lovely, all fresh food, a choice of fresh fish... More
