David and Val are the loveliest people, going the extra distance to ensure I felt at home for my 2 week stay. The room was perfect, clean and tidy with all the amenities required. Great location, a short walk down to the colourful beach houses + Peasholm park on the way, making for a great place to relax and meet... More

Just returned home from a 2 night stay at the Lyness. Fantastic little guest house, pleasant surroundings and accessible to the town. Took our 17 month old with us, the travel cot was supplied by the owners. The breakfast was simply beautiful and my all my little girls needs were also catered for. I have all intentions of returning but... More

Our family stayed at Lyness for a long weekend and had a lovely time! The rooms were very clean & tidy and it was a short walk into town and to the sea. Highlight had to be the breakfast! David & Val couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. Thank you!

I have to say this was the nicest guest house i have stayed at in a long time. The owners Dave and Val are extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, lovely and well decorated and the cooked breakfasts are amazing. I stayed in a family room with my 5 year old daughter and it was perfect. I... More

David and Val were good hosts We Stayed in room 5 which was a double with en suite. Room was very clean, nicely decorated with a lovely bathroom which had some nice complimentary toiletries. On the down side the bed was rather squeaky and the room was a tad small. The room was hot due to the glorious weather and... More
