I was lucky enough to find a parking place outside the front door, we were met by the 2 happy faces of the owners. We had a quick nosey into the dining room which was pleasant. I booked a room here, on line, on January 10, 2010 for an anticipated arrival date on March 28. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error on my part, I booked the "Kensington Guest House" in Scarborough rather than my intended guest house, of the same name, in another city. I corrected the error within 24 hours, but my Visa card... more
Thank you for this review but unfortunatly it is not quite as black and white as you would like to paint it. We had a booking come in for all of our six rooms for 4 days,(including evening meals) from a firm that were sending some members of staff to a conferance in Scarborough and have used us before. But...
we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. John and Joy made us more than welcome . the room was just what we wanted. the meals were all home cooked and out of this world. We plan to go back very soon. more
