We stayed B and B for two nights in bedroom 2. The room was clean, tidy and well stocked with tea/coffee. For anybody staying longer there is plenty of cupboards/draws etc. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and all so tasty, it really sets you up for the day. As for Joy and John, they were wonderful... More

Spent 2 nights last weekend visiting delightful Scarborough. We visit often but rarely stay but so glad we picked the Kensington. Joy & John were very approachable and did everything to make our stay memorable, whether through homemade cakes and biscuits or the amazingly varied breakfasts....some choices you might only otherwise expect in so called 'top class' hotels. Many thanks... More

We stayed here for a two night break during the recent bank holiday weekend and were made to feel very welcome. Chatty, welcoming owners and the extra touches like homemade cake or biscuits in your room make the difference between an average bed and breakfast to one that stands out amongst the vast competition of guest houses in the area.... As a student nurse on placement in Scarborough I needed somewhere to stay during the week for 3 months. Choosing this B and B was luck of the draw and I couldn't have asked for any better service. Free on street parking and WiFi, the rooms are all decorated differently and I got to choose which room I preferred. There... More

Alas we could only get away for one night! Had an extremely comfortable stay here at The Kensington. Our hosts were lovely, our room extremely comfortable, parking was easy and the breakfast was wonderful. Homemade yogurt, lashings of fresh fruit, sumptuous scotch pancakes (a work of art on a plate)for me, juicy kippers with huge perfectly poached eggs for my... More

We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room which was very clean and well decorated. The cupcakes on the tea/coffee tray made me fall immediately in love with the place! :) The breakfast was fabulous with a very good choice. The jams and lemon curd were home made and there was home made bread... More

Stayed here for two nights in September 2013. Situated close to all amenities, easy to find. On street parking available. Really warm welcome from the landlady who took really good care of us. Breakfast was absolutely first class and hospitality top drawer. The rooms were comfortable. No hesitation in recommending this a hotel as a great place to stay.

We booked three nights here and from the start were made very welcome by our hosts. Joy showed us to our room and explained how the shower worked. We were asked to choose our breakfast the evening before but, as the list of options was HUGE, this was understandable. The only problem was which option choose. Wow! Everything from full... More

We arrived at our accommodation and was greeted by the owner John who was expecting us and he showed us to our room. John was very warm and friendly and he showed us where everything was and how things worked, which was really helpful. The room was very spacious, as too was the en-suite. They were also extremely clean and... More
