Booked there for 2 nights. On arrival we were shown to a dark, dank, damp, smelly hole that they called a bedroom. Wife's asthma immediately erupted. Asked for another room. No can do. Sidmouth is a resort that doesn't do modern - there are no amusement arcades and a sense of the past pervades - the Victorian promenade is bordered by buildings of character - perfect for those like myself that seek this.
