The main hotel is a charming old building said to be from the 1830s. It is fine-looking on the outside and full of character on the inside, with plenty of old wooden features such as the internal balcony-like structures overhanging the hall at first floor level, and doors hidden in wooden panels, as well as old wooden furniture in the... I made a late booking for two nights at the Sidholme hotel. I was given a single room which was fairly basic, but clean with an ensuite. I was asked to move to another room which had an attached bathroom which appeared bigger than the bedroom. But, the bath had no shower attachment, so I couldn't wash my hair. That... More

Stayed at Sidholme for a stay as you please week. This is a very basic hotel, it was clean and try but basic. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and hot - highly recommended Evening meal was varied but plain, staff were exceptional, helpful, understanding and a tribute to Sidholme. Took advantage of the Christian ethos and joined in the morning and... More

Really nice place but didn't realise it was a Christian hotel. Felt like I'd stumbled on a church weekend away. Really awkward breakfast sharing with people. Couldn't have any alcohol on the premises 😒. The food was lovely and the room was clean though

We spent a week here on a christian holiday with a group of around 100 people. The service was amazing, the food was great and they catered to all members of our grou, even fussy children who just wanted chicken nuggets. The rooms were great value for money and the building and the grounds are beautiful. The music room is... More

This was hotel three in a trip that had four hotels. I went with my partner. It was ok really but nothing to write home about. Reasonably priced, breakfast was reasonable - but despite being a Christian I just didn't get the whole 'sitting together' at mealtimes thing. Other than that it was ok.

Some may say that Sidholme is out dated and left in the dark ages, Yes Sidholme is an old building with many of the "old" features still in place, this is what makes the place so nice, and any "updating" would only spoil the overall look of the place, it has a beautiful music room/chapel, were there is lots to... The Hotel looks very grand from the outside, the gardens are beautiful and it is very calm and tranquil. Inside there is a grand staircase, an amazing Octagonal Music Room with chandeliers an elegant Dining Room an abundance of wooden panelling throughout but that's where the elegance stops! The Hotel Rooms we saw, in the main building, including ours were... More

This stay was really relaxing although only one night a the gardens and swimming pool contributed to the lovely experience. Pre- visit the hotel were very accommodating and would have been later, I'm sure, if there had been other queries. The room was basic but our room had a bonus sitting room/ kitchenette which most wouldn't. Breakfast was buffet style... More

I stay from time to time at the Crieff Hydro; a former temperance establishment that now has a small but popular bar. This advance has yet to hit the Sidholme Hotel. There are tables on the nice gardens, and on the verandah, where it would be nice to sit down with a drink. But you can't! You're not even allowed... More
