We needed somewhere to stay near Sidmouth that had good facilities for my wife, who is a full-time wheelchair user. We were lucky to find Brookfields. David and Rosemary made us very welcome, listened to what we needed, and helped. We stayed in the Green Room, which was excellent - well-furnished, very clean, and sensibly planned with enough space to... More

We stayed here with another couple following the funeral of a mutual friend in Budleigh Salterton. Brookfields has all the good qualities of a friendly guest house. A warm welcome, comfortable bedrooms, a piping hot shower and a delicious breakfast. David kindly drove us to the local pup where the food was good, and on our return shared some of... More

Not for the first time a very comfortable few days stay. Guest rooms very clean and tidy and well equipped. David and Rosemary always very welcoming tea and home scones on arrival, excellent breakfasts. Nice touch on this occasion was a card and a bunch of flowers for my wife in respect of our wedding anniversary which we happened to... More

Andrew and I have stayed here 6 times now, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Devon. David and Rosemary are the most welcoming people we have ever met. The room is always clean and tidy, and they always go the extra mile and make sure that you are comfortable and want for nothing. We always feel at home and... More

Wonderful B&B great hosts, lovely and clean, they go the extra mile, they made fresh ground coffee, made us cream tea at no extra cost . The breakfast was one of the best I ever had. I would recommend to any of my family or friends and you guys looking for a great B&B in East Devon.

We have stayed on a number of occasions and always been well looked- after. David and Rosemary are not to be faulted on their kindness and helpfulness. We discovered Brookfields because we were looking for accommodation that was wheelchair accessible and their facilities are excellent and better than many hotels that say they are accessible. Our bedroom and en suite... More

Our experience seems very different from others on here. Rosemary and David were very welcoming. When you came into the front door you could see into a very untidy computer room with stuff all over the floor and the carpet covered in dog hair (like this all the while we were there). We were shown to our rooms the valance... More

We are very sorry that you were so disappointed with your stay at Brookfields and posted such severe criticisms. However while you were here, other that the single spider on the first day, which can happen anywhere, you never raised one problem with us. In fact you were somewhat complimentary about the facilities, breakfasts and décor of the rooms. Although... More

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting friends in the area. Were welcomed by David with a friendly smile and offer of a cream tea - gratefully accepted. Room very well equipped and clean. Great to get a kettle and tea and coffee provided, all free. Breakfasts were excellent, well cooked and huge, and provided whenever convenient to the guest.... More

We were met with a friendly smile and cup of tea and cake. The room was very well equipped and spotless if a little small. However, we were changing rooms for the second night and this was excellent, spacious and again spotlessly well equipped. The owners did everything to ensure we had the breakfast we wanted and nothing was too... More

This was our second stay at Brookfields (we stayed in July 2013), and it was the same first class hospitality as before. David and Rosemary really do go the extra mile for you and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Watching the Germany demolition of Brazil in David's lounge alongside a lovely gentleman from Babbacombe, Torquay, who was playing in... More
