I've just stayed three nights at Southcroft Guesthouse, a small B&B with, I believe, three rooms and a four star rating. I had a nice time there. The house is situated a mere fifteen minute walk from the beach. I had a small single room with a comparitively large window, so it didn't feel cramped. During the night it was dead-silent because it was at the back of the house. The breakfast (especially the sausages) was excellent with just about anything you wanted. The owners are very friendly people who made you feel at home. The single room has its own adjacent bathroom with a shower as well as a bath. All very clean and tidy. The owner has a nice collection of guitars and on leave he said I could have borrowed one to play in my room if he had known it the first day that I played guitar too. All in all a nice experience and I hope to be back one day because Sidmouth is a beautiful seaside resort with excellent walking paths. more
