We popped in for a midweek lunch and were surprised that (a) only six people in the place and (b) the entire interior is in desperate deed of a refurb or at least a lick of paint and new carpets. However the food was good and the service extremely friendly. Oh yes, the beer was excellent ! What a shame... More

Stayed here for 2 nights midweek with my husband. At £70 a night the bedroom was much better than expected. Very modern yet comfortable although I did find the mattress far too firm for me but that's just my preference. Lovely big shower but disappointed there wasn't a bath. The service in the attached pub and from reception staff was... More

HI Thanks for taking the time to review, First of all apologies for the cold tea !! We are due to refurbish the pub to match our stunning refurbishment in the bedrooms, I admit the pub is looking a little tired & lacks atmosphere in the morning if only a couple are eating breakfast ,also just waiting for breakfast menu's... The Bulls head is a great little place just £9 in a taxi from Manchester airport. The rooms are very nicely done out, the beds extremely comfy and they give you fresh milk for a 'brew' upon arrival. Nice touch Next door the beer and atmosphere in the pub are great, the only hung that lets it down is the... More

The bedrooms have just been completely renovated and I have to say they are very nice. The whole stay from check-in to breakfast was a delight. Apparently they are doing the pub up soon, if they do it as good as the hotel rooms then the Bulls Head will be unbeatable for the money.

Since the new management have taken over this lovely family pub it has gone downhill. The manager was drunk and swearing at customers and staff, he was very rude and it was obvious that the staff were used to and embarssed about his behaviour. He publicly told memebers of staff that they were bad at their jobs. I will not... More

After reading several reviews we decided to try The Bulls Head Pub for an evening meal while we were staying overnight nearby. The whole experience was excellent. The bar staff were amazingly friendly and efficient. The menu was very varied and the prices extremely reasonable. I chose two items from the appetizer menu rather than a larger main meal. The... Hale Barns seems a very posh suburb of Manchester - all Mock Tudor and 4-wheel drives. The pub seemed very appealing, though noisy at the time of our arrival (11 pm). Fortunately, the Lodge is separated from the pub by a large carpark, and was quiet. Our reception was excellent - very helpful and friendly staff, and we had all... More
