Booked this hotel as it was a great location for us, as we were visiting relatives and meeting family. There were six of us staying (3 twin rooms) two rooms absolutley fine (what I would expect at a Premier Inn - comfy and clean) However, my room was in need of a refit and re-decoration. Window wouldn't shut properly, curtain... more

I've stayed in plenty of Premier Inns but can safely say this is by far the worst. It's tatty and in need of a total refurbishment. The bathroom had mould all over the tiles. The cups had been rinsed out but certainly not washed. There is no soundproofing and we could hear peoples conversations in the next room keeping us... more

After finally receiving attention at the check in desk after a 10 min wait becasue there was no-one around, we entered our room to find a bundle of used tissues on the bed. The room was very very small by PI standards and with paper peeling off the walls and very noisy street traffic, our stay didn't get off to... more

I stayed at the hotel for one week at the beginning of November. For approximatively 50 pounds a day I got full English breakfast and decent bedroom (103). The cleanliness was spotless, my towels were changed daily, welcome tray replenished. I went downstairs to the bar a few times and met a couple of interesting guys. The staff were superb,... more

i am still visiting the gum clinic after sleeping in one of the beds! on serious note, the staff were extremely rude, and uncoherent of personal needs. My room was nothing short of a dump, and when i asked to be moved to another place of refuge, i was mocked and and simply offered another sachet of brown sugar! Definatley... more

The checkin was by somebody who didnt know the system, couldnt understand that I did not care for an 'Everything that you can eat' breakfast, I 'just' wanted a continental, and generally commented on every aspect and took an age to do the task. The room was tired, old, badly needed a refresh, didnt have a shaver point, was at... more

I don't know which brand the hotel used to trade as, but soon formed the opinion that when Premier Lodge merged with Premier Travel Inn, they didn't spend anywhere near enough time or money re-fitting the place: They probably put in a few new signs, the trademark picture of a leaf on the wall in every bedroom, the standard colour... more

On my second visit I was hoping that things would be better after a very noisy room the first time. After an extremely busy previous 10 days all I wanted to do was get an early night. However, I was treated to the sounds of Glastonbury via the t.v. in the bar. How naive of me to expect that the... more

This hotel is a 'Premier Travelodge'. I stayed here for one night. The hotel itself was ok and is attached to a pub/restaurant called 'The George & Dragon'. When I was getting ready to check out, I took time out to complete a customer feedback form that had been left for me. One question related to how we were greeted... more

Great place to stay, very child-freindly with separate rooms & bunk beds. Next to main road can be a bit noisy but the low cost makes up for it. I live in the US and am used to the better ameneties but this was good for the price. Clean rooms, definitely a "B&B" and not a major chain hotel. Restaurant... more
