Stayed for two nights on business. Ok it could do with a bit of modernisation here and there. Room was clean and heating was fine. Biggest Moran really was the noise outside. Delivery lorries seem to be coming and going all night. Staff were ok so for the money it's not so bad. Might struggle to stay the full week... More

Stayed here for a night before our flight & a night on our return. Yes the hotel is dated, but we found the rooms to be clean, comfy & warm with a good hot shower, tea making facilities & tv. We found a excellent deal for just £29 online which included breakfast. On our return from holiday we endured a... More

As with most Britannia hotels, they lack any sort of modernisation. This particular hotel is the worst I've stayed in and it seems is in a 1970s timewarp. The decor is shockingly bad and the so called bar area is very poor. The room itself was very very basic and not cleaned to a standard you'd expect. The bed was... More

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen; decor is dated and unclean with foul language graffiti in the lift. The room wasn't much better stained carpets (with what I don't wish to think about) dirty and ripped bedding, bed mattress stained and worn. needless to say I checked out immediately and have requested a full refund,... hotel hard to find as it is tucked away behind costa coffee, so after several laps we found it. we were therefor just 2 nights which is plenty . It was clean but tired could do with a good makeover in the roon armchair material torn, no toilet brush in toilet or soap to was hands. We also had a... More

The location in the centre of Hale is the only redeeming feature .From the out side it looks like a fairly tidy 70's block but once inside passed the well worn carpets and sad decor you end up in a depressing excuse for a room. You get what you pay for? I've just been to the centre of rotterdam for £20... More

Apart from the location, centre of Hale which is lovely, and the breakfast this is undoubtedly the worst hotel I've stayed in and it cost £100 per night. All Britannia hotels are pretty awful but this takes the prize, dirty and disgusting would be fairly accurate, the wifi and tv remote didn't work - but surprisingly the bathroom was nice... More

We had no illusions. The weather was bad and all I could get was a crack of dawn flight. I was tired and did not want to risk an early start and a difficult journey so we booked in to the hotel so we could sleep for six hours before booking in at the airport. The hotel is hard to... More

We got what we think was a really good deal. Clean and tidy. Bathroom needs regrouting & bath resealing to brighten it up a bit. Comfortable bed and really nice breakfast. Wouldn't pay much more than 70 for a double though.
