Having never stayed in a B & B before, my partner & I never knew what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised at this spacious & clean guesthouse. We booked through the website & were promptly replied too. On booking I informed Mrs Farringdon my wife was a celiac. She went out of the way to accommodate us. Went to Glenshee for some skiing and decided to stay in Ballater as there is more there than Braemar. Found this B&B. Rooms are small but have all you need. Very clean well kept house. Breakfast pre ordered the night before. The porridge was dire microwave stuff but everything else was very good and decent portion plenty tea and toast... more

On the porridge front we only use the most famous brand and yes we do microwave it (according to instructions on the box) so well spotted, however I, even though I don't like porridge, tried it from cooking...
