We had stayed in Braemar for the week prior to our stay and had been pretty spoilt with our accommodation so the Inver Hotel had a lot to live up to. We only stayed one night but throughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome from the staff was second to none and I cannot speak highly enough of any of them.... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Inver Hotel for only 1 night. (We only wish it could have been longer.). Sue keeps an amazing hotel. The food was fantastic! My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Inver Hotel and can thouroughly reccomend it. Firstly, the location is beautiful. The local scenery is breathtaking; there are lots of good walks and some awesome driving roads nearby. Balmoral Castle is just 3 miles down the road - we even caught a glimpse of the Queen after Sunday Church service!... more

August 23th 2007, after an excursion day in Aberdeen, we arrived at Inver Hotel to have dinner at 19:30. No more than 4 people at that moment. After having read the reviews in this website, we asked for dinner. Sorry, no children allowed. (Any sign, any legend at door, even at menu). Scotland is a very difficult place to travel... more

I think this review was unfair. Under the licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 section 69 it is an offence to bring children under 14 years into a public bar that does not have a childrens licence. Sadly we do not have a childrens licence. If we did children must leave the bar before 8pm. Under normal circumstances families with young children...

We arrived at the Inver Hotel after driving bravely over the Devil's Elbow in a snow storm. The lodge was warm and the proprietors happy to see us and eager to learn about our journey. They had fires lit in the fireplaces and soft, low, leather sofas for us to sink into. We relaxed almost immediately. Dinner was amazing-- meats... more
