This accommodation was one of the more expensive that we stayed in while touring around the UK. but it didn't take long to realise that the extra £20 per night was well worth it! A warm greeting, a cup of tea and the best brownie I have eaten in the lounge, quality towels and toiletries, real glasses instead of plastic... More

Thank you for your very positive review. We would just like to clarify our name change from Deeside Hotel to No 45. Gordon and Penella are still running our lovely Victorian House as a guesthouse but the name change reflects a slight change in operation in that we now only cater for resident guests and no longer operate a public... We had a great stay in the Deeside Hotel, the food was amazing, and the service and attention to detail outstanding. I think the best apple tart I have ever tasted. We will definitely be staying again.

Stayed two nights in this small charming hotel on the outskirts of Ballater. We could not speak too highly of this establishment which was welcoming and professionally run. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, overlooking the front of the hotel, but very quiet as it is set back from the road. There was a hospitality tray in the room... More

We were fortunate to stay at this hotel on our way to the Highlands. As it was my birthday I was extremely impressed at the quality of the food and the extensive wine list. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, garden, and common rooms. Loved Room 1, very quiet, and bed was wonderful. Roomy shower. Some of the nicest people run this hotel. Friendly and welcoming. Appreciate the shortbread, tea, and hot chocolate in the parlor each afternoon and also provided in the room. Beautiful dining room and the food was great. Excellent dinner and breakfast. If you... We have just returned from our fifth stay at the Deeside Hotel. Welcome, cleanliness, service and food all outstanding Already looking forward to our next visit. The food presentation is excellent and the small tasters at dinner come as a welcome surprise.

After having eaten there last summer I returned this your together with some friends from the village. We booked in advance and the proprietor was very happy about that, she told us, because that a lot of people came in unnoticed. It was buzzing in the dining room but we all were served in time and friendly. we could choose... More

We stayed at the Deeside Hotel for two nights recently.. We were warmly welcomed and showed our room, which was fine and very clean. The bathroom perhaps wasn't as large as some we have had recently, but it had everything we needed and plenty of nice, white towels. There was a bottle of water for both of us on the... More

Quiet, off the road, in town, updated everything including free Internet, huge breakfast, beautiful gardens, delightful owner and staff, quaint. We couldn't ask for anything more including its location in the middle of the Deeside area.
