Stayed here one night, passing through Ballater. The room was smallish but perfectly acceptable - very clean, everything in it's right place. The food was divine. Simply put, Michelin quality fare in a country location. We (party of 4) enjoyed an amazing dinner. Breakfast also lovely. Couldn't fault the hotel or it's lovely owner. Just perfect. More

Though we hadn't booked, this wasn't a problem - we were quickly shown to our rooms, which were clean and bright. At both dinner and breakfast, the food tasted wonderful, and the service was excellent. We had a great stay at the Deeside and would recommend this hotel to all our friends! More
