My wife and I only stayed one night at Inchgeal Lodge, but it will remain long in our memories. Along with the fact that Diane was a wonderful and friendly host, our room was most comfortable. The bed was very cosy and the bathroom very clean and well fitted out. This may sound a bit 'over the top', but I... More

We were welcomed in this nice B&B. We stayed in an en suite room, the Tullich, which is spacious, perfectly clean and comfortable. The bathroom is huge with a spacious bath and a powerful shower . The Invergauld room is clear and modern and has a lovely view on the garden too. They both overlook on the garden and the... More

Rung the bell at 2000hrs. Vacancies sign displayed. Diane welcomed me in and showed me a super top floor room. Room 1 wasn't ensuite (which didn't bother me) but had a super comfortable double bed and lots of pillows. Great tea and coffee making facilities (including Choc Chip biscuits and hot choc!) Rather spacious, especially for 1 person. Bigger rooms... More

Another wonderful visit. Dianne is perfect hostess and as usual the en-suite room was spacious, comfortable, clean and a joy to stay in. Substantial and tasty breakfast with plenty of choices. Lovely setting close to centre and lovely views of river. Highly recommended in the lovely ballater setting

Our five night stay at the Inchgeal Lodge was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable trips we've taken, in no small part because of the accommodation itself. Set alongside the beautiful river Dee, the B&B was clean, fresh and well maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was modern, with the shower powerful and refreshing. Free wifi,... More

2 scruffy bikers arrived at 6:00pm looking for a couple of rooms for the night. We were greeted warmly by the landlady who showed us a choice of rooms at a discounted rate. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bathroom perfectly adequate and the shower excellent. Wifi was free but signal was weak in my room (fine in the... More

Couldn't get a room in Braemar for the night, and this place was booked via the tourist information office there. Talk about worth the trip!! It's one of the few places I've stayed that I couldn't find any fault with. Our room was comfortable and clean, equipped with everything we needed including wi-fi. Had a top night's sleep and one... I stayed at Inchgeal lodge B&B in Ballater, Scotland in May of 2015 and found it to be excellent in every way. Dianne the hostess is warm and friendly, the room we stayed in was large and airy with a beautiful view over vast green lawns with fabulous old beech trees. It is a big, old Victorian house, originally built... More

Stayed here whilst backpacking across Scotland as part of the TGO Challenge. Diane was welcoming and very helpful. I left a plug adapter for my phone behind and Diane gave this to some fellow Challengers who were also staying at Inchgeal so that they could pass this back to me in Montrose. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was... More

Stayed one night in Ballater with my boyfriend and in-laws. Booked quite late and Inchgeal was the only place that had suitable rooms for us. It's a beautiful, elegant house, really central. Immaculate with lovely rooms and great showers. Breakfast was very good, no complaints. Owner lovely and welcoming. Thanks for a really nice stay. Would stay again and recommend.... More
