Although this bed and breakfast has only a few rooms the double room we stayed in was beautiful room with view looking out over driveway and river with plenty of space a lovely ensuite bathroom and comfy bed, the breakfast was very good and service was excellent through out our stay. Ideally located for walking or hiking in beautiful Ballater.

We stayed for three nights and got a very good price offered and were not disappointed. We had a ground floor room which was large and had a good bathroom. Diane was lovely and served a very good breakfast. The guest lounge was a wonderful place to watchTV in the evening warmed by a wood burner. Ballater is a good... More

Five of us stayed for two nights at the beginning of October. Four of us were climbing, my wife just wanted to relax after the Ryder Cup. Shops were conveniently close for her to potter around on foot and the house warm, so she spent a good deal of the day just relaxing with a book. Rooms were extremely generously... More

Having tried a number of other B and Bs in Ballater and finding no vacancies we came across Inchgeal Lodge and what a find. The owners made us feel welcome and were extremely friendly. The guest lounge had the hottest wood stove we have ever experienced, but welcomed on a cold night. The breakfast was a traditional Scottish one and... More

Five intrepid walkers stayed for two nights in this wonderful BB. Clean, tidy, homely with most excellent breakfast selection(try the porridge). Diane made us very welcome and was a perfect hostess. If ever in the area definitely worth an over night stop or two, we will certainly be back. Thank you............

We stayed at the Inchgeal Lodge on Sep 14, 204, our first day on the road in Aberdeenshire. I had been in contact with Diane a few months prior and she had reserved the Tullich room for us at a cost of £70. The room was very large and comfortable and had an additional single bed. The en-suite bathroom featuring... More

This was a lovely b and b to stay at. The big house stands out at the end of the long driveway with trees either side. The house is an old looking but elegant building but modern and scottishy inside. Our host was delightful and very attentive. Our room (a family one) was massive, and very overwhelming. It was brilliant. The bathroom... More

My husband and I stayed over for one evening on our tour of Royal Deeside. Owner was pleasant, and the room was large and clean with a good sized en suite. Breakfast the following day was good, albeit the fruit was tinned and the scrambled eggs were not brilliant. Disappointing that there was no TV in the bedroom, and the... More

I stayed for two nights, on my own, visiting friends and old haunts. The room was fine and everything very clean. As a solo traveller it would be nice to have a radio/TV in the room. Whilst wifi was available the strength in the room was such that service was very intermittent. A boozer would be helpful. Over all I... More

Bedroom and bathroom sizes were a bit larger than average. Bathroom sink plumbing was outdated, consisting of separate, short hot and cold faucets. Bathtub/shower plumbing was unusual with just enough hot water available if put on maximum setting. Room was a bit warm with only one window and no fan of any type provided. Breakfast was good, but the fruit... More
