We recently stayed here for my birthday and I must say that the suites are really beautiful. Large, clean and tidy and very well presented. The surrounding areas are beautiful and well worth just driving around and seeing it all. However, I don't think we will stay here again and was not impressed with the resort overall. A dirty robe... To be clear, Hilton have 2 types of accommodation at Craigendarroch; one is the lodges (where we stayed), the other is the suites. The lodges are detached and semi-detached properties. There are about 50 of them scattered around this very large site. They are generally available for owners of timeshare properties on this development, to other timeshare users or to... More

We've stayed here before and loved it, now it's been refurbished into suites I can honestly say it's improved. The room layout we had (23 - junior suite w/fireplace) was one of the smaller ones on that wing, going by the fire escape plan, but had masses of space for the two of us. Great living area, perfect size of... More

We had the pleasure of staying here during our visit to Scotland. We stayed for five days and used this as a base camp for many little trips throughout the Highlands. It was perfect for what we needed. There was a tremendous amount of room for our family. The kitchen was perfect for our breakfasts. Unfortunately we didn't get to... More

The hotel is situated on the edge of ballater surrounded by beautiful scenery. It takes about twenty minutes to walk into town. We stayed in one of the sweets in the main hotel building. The sweet itself was brilliant. The living room with the fire was perfect for a cosy night in. The view we had from the room was... More

Myself, 3 friends and my 8 mo baby used the 'dip and dine' on Saturday 17th Jan which gives you access to the pool and lesuire facilities and a 2 course lunch. I had been only a few months before and had experienced bad service during the meal but decided to give it another try. Unfortunately the service was as... More

Stayed with family in a lodge for the weekend. Arriving at night we could not appreciate the beauty of the surroundings but the lodge itself was impressive and very tastefully decorated and had a real home from home feeling. Everything we could have needed was available in the lodge, from fully equipped kitchen to iPod docking station. During the day... More

My husband and I stayed in a 2 bed lodge for a week, just before Xmas. The resort was having major problems with the airconditioning as the air from the pool was being pumped into the bar and dining room! Condensation was trickling down the windows and dripping through the ceiling - there was even a bucket on one of... More

I have known this hotel for over 40 years and seen it go through its changes, highs and lows. It is great to see the Craigendarroch back on the right track. Had a lovely three course lunch which was fantastic value (15.95), well presented and tasty. The staff were attentive and did not rush us even though we started at... More

We stayed at the lodges for one week. We had a three bed lodge which sleeps eight. Only 2 people in the lodge as other guests could not travel up. So plenty of room! The lodge: Ground floor has 1 double bedroom ensuite With a jacuzzi bath. Two twin bed bedrooms, and a seperate bathroom (decent size with bath and... More
