We stayed here for a week with HGVC points supplied by owners of 3 other properties. We had a two bedroom lodge (4). The structure itself is tasteful with wonderful views of the mountains and river. Our lodge's location was (thankfully) tucked in a section with the best views on the property. It is a two-story unit with a bedroom... More

Visited in June with family and had a 3 bedroom lodge which was beautifully renovated and was warm and cozy with lots of room to relax in and a private sauna. Amenities were largely similar to those in most Hilton Grand vacation properties, but would suggest that laundry detergent, salt and pepper and similar condiments be provided as in other places... This resort is located in a quiet forested area very close to Balmoral and the small village of Ballater. The cottages are very nicely appointed and comfortable. Ours had newly updated bathrooms that had heated floors and towel racks; very nice in the cool Scottish climate. The towels are large which makes me happy. The hotel staff is extremely friendly... Excellent staff in all areas .We had a one bedroom lodge which was very spacious and clean. The food in both the bar and the brassier was excellent and very good value for money. However the price of electricity did seem a little high. Definitely would visit again if I was in the area.

It was my first time out of the US and I had always wanted to see Scotland. I traveled with two friends and we stayed in a lodge at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Craigendarroch Lodges. The lodge was perfect. We each had our own room. The area is beautiful and it was a great base spot for our day... More

Just returned from a bank holiday weekend away. The reception staff are helpful and eager to ensure your first impression is positive - it's disappointing management have not extended this thinking in staffing levels for the rest of the hotel. On Saturday we opted for a Bar meal - nothing wrong with the meal but the staff were chasing after... More

Two couples stayed in a 2 BR, 2.5 bath suite in the main building for a week in early May 2015. Our experience was superb due to the great food in the restaurant and bar, the spa facilities, the gorgeous kitchen and en-suite washer/dryer, the walking trails and 1-mile walk into Ballater, and the whiskey tasting with Gordon Muir on... Very comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting, a five-minute uphill drive from Ballater. The third floor family suite was spacious and stylish, with big windows looking out into the forest. The gym and pool were very nice, the water a good temperature. We had a meal and a few drinks at the bar as the restaurant is tiny and requires... More

Spent a weekend at this hotel for a late wedding anniversary break. Firstly the location is beautiful, gorgeous scenery everywhere and really quiet (perhaps a little too quiet for us!) Easy to find, almost a straight road from the airport travelling through some pretty little villages. On arrival we were impressed by the gorgeous looking hotel and looking forward to... More

We come here every year and each year it gets better. Delightful accommodation, not perfect but very near. Stunning location with red squirrels, birds of all sizes and tranquility. Without doubt a lovely location for a relaxing stay near Balmoral, The Dee etc
