This was a weekend break tagged on to the back of a gift certificate purchased by our daughter via Hotelconnexions where do I start? On the positive side the staff were a cheerful group who were very helpful in all areas of the hotel. The hotel itself is a reasonably laid out though a bit dark in its choice of... More

We stayed 1 night as part of a back roads tour. The hotel was a bit strange with corridors and rooms all over the place. Our room had a nice view over the mountains but otherwise it was a bit ordinary. Bed needed new mattress and no water pressure in shower. But the food (dinner and breakfast) was fabulous! Staff... We originally booked into Crerar Craiglynne in Grantown on Spey through Easy Breaks but the hotel had double booked our room so we decided to come here instead, Crerar/Easy Breaks arranged a room upgrade for us free of charge. We were glad when we got to the hotel the room was very spacious and comfortable for us. Food from the... More

On arrival, swift and speedy check in. The room was a bit dated-maybe look at the lighting- but we were aware from the demon replies from Joanna-who we sadly never met lol- that this was ongoing upgrading. However on the big plus side the bed was great and the hot water plentiful for a much needed bath after a long... More

Arrived at the Deeside Inn for a 1 night stay and were upgraded to a suite. The staff at reception were friendly and very helpful. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint Scottish hotel in the middle of the Cairngorms!!

My wife and I have been here several times since 2012 and always enjoyed our stays but it all just seemed better this time. Our room (17) wasn't the biggest we'd had and the shower did lack power but everything worked and most importantly it was clean and comfortable. Feeling happy to be back, we had a drink in the... We were cold and wet and looking for coffee or something similar when we walked by the Inn and heard amazing music. We decided to go inside and what a great experience we had. The owner is so nice and helpful. Apparently they host these local musicians frequently. We had a great evening with lovely people, great service from the... More

We spent a relaxed 3 night break at this lovely Victorian Inn. The food is a food lovers dream and the chef should be proud of the quality and diverse menu that is offered. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Other reviews have criticised the rooms but ours was clean the shower worked fine and the bed was very... More

We booked a wee holiday, rather long weekend with my boyfriend in July. 2 nights, 1 evening dinner and bottle of wine plus both mornings breakfast included. £79 per person. If I want to be honest we were not hoping too much for this price but we were wrong. The location is amazing (not like Ballater is such a huge... More
