We stayed here for 5 nights in Feb during half term based on the reviews on here. On arrival we received a friendly welcome from the owners and our rooms were great, comfortable, clean and cosy. The Alexander is excellent value for money and the evening meals are really good. I hope to go back there soon. more

We visited the Alexandra Hotel twice in '08 - and will definitely return in '09. This hotel is comfortable and welcoming. Alan and Fiona are the best of hosts, a truly personal service. Couldn't commend it too highly. In fact, our only reluctance is that it might become too popular and we can't get in! more

Having just returned from a week staying at the Alexandra I can honestly report I have never stayed in a hotel as clean, friendly and great value as this!
