Stayed with the wife and 1yr old son. Staff couldn't be more helpful, Wonderful views, lots of red squirels and deer running about. Room was clean and well looked after. Paid £22 each for a two course meal. Worth every penny. Best meal we've ever had anywhere! Gordon Ramsay eat your heart out!! more
Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday. Local produce cooked to a very high standard, lovely friendly staff, great views overlooking the golf course and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back. If you're in Ballater ask for directions to it - its tucked away a bit!! more

We booked into the Glen Lui Hotel because of its closeness to Balmoral Castle. We stayed only one night in August 2003. We will be staying there again, but next time for more then just one night. Was able to book two rooms for one night only (most places in Ballater wanted a two night min) back in March for the weekend of the Braemar Gathering in September.
