Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday. Local produce cooked to a very high standard, lovely friendly staff, great views overlooking the golf course and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back. If you're in Ballater ask for directions to it - its tucked away a bit!! more

We booked into the Glen Lui Hotel because of its closeness to Balmoral Castle. We stayed only one night in August 2003. We will be staying there again, but next time for more then just one night. Was able to book two rooms for one night only (most places in Ballater wanted a two night min) back in March for the weekend of the Braemar Gathering in September. Stayed in the "cabins" which is a seperate building from the hotel, noise wasn't an issue, rooms were clean and decently sized. Private bathroom for the room was larger... more
