Stayed in this hotel for three nights and found it extremely friendly and welcoming. The receptionist and barman were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help me. My room was very nice and extremely comfortable. The bar and restaurant areas were also very welcoming and relaxing. The dinners and breakfasts were exceptionally tasty. The Hotel is just a short... Just stayed in this hotel for one night while attending a party locally. The hotel is cheap but not nasty, it is clean and in a good location, but work does need to be done to bring up to acceptable standard. We had the smallest double room with the smallest double bed we had ever stayed in, room 5, and... More

Inn interesting for logistics point for those staying in Bedford for one or two nights. Falls in the middle range of the British hotels with some features that are lontaner by European standards. It is achieved directly walk from the train station. Kindness of the receptionist and services. Interesting that the entire hotel is smokingfree anywhere, even in the front... More

I have just stayed in the Shakespeare Hotel on the 18th September 2014 and would advice any body to give this place a wide birth. I was booked into this hotel by a company I was working for last min and was not sure what I was letting myself in for, but have to say I was quite discussed with... More

I have to be honest I was a little nervous about staying in this hotel after the reviews I had read on here. Additionally the lack of response from the hotel towards these complaints was worrying (which is something to still work on). However, we were blown away by how different it was. The wedding we were at ran over... More

A friendly family B&B under new management. Conveniently situated within walking distance of the Railway Station. Although the building is old, the room are clean and spacious. The traditional English Breakfast is good with plenty of tea and coffee and toast. The prices affordable. But most important smiling and helpful staff. And let's not forget that parking is available too.

Fortunately I was booked in for one night. I needed a single room. Thus was very small but adequately furnished with en-suite shower and toilet. TV and tea making things although not enough milk. On my booking form I had expressed SoyaMilk, which was not supplied in either my room or for breakfast. Therefore I had to forego cereals. My... More

We stayed here just one night. The double room we had was very small but did the job. Nice breakfast in the morning and it was nice to be able to have a drink at the bar at night and sit in the outside garden area.

Arrived to be given a tiny uncomfortable room with a leaking shower, broken sink (in the bedroom aswell not even in the bathroom) springs poking through mattress, broken lights and a dirty room that last had a lick of paint years ago. Got my room moved to a slightly better one but now with the noisiest floorboards ever. Asked at... More

Was booked to stay here for 4 nights and when I read the reviews I was pretty apprehensive. The car park was full to bursting when I arrived but I managed to squeeze in and the guy at reception said he would contact me if it needed moving. The next night I discovered that (come out of the entrance, turn... More
