Hi i think its bext to list the issues with this hotel 1) no phone 2) no hairdryer 3) no tea and coffee Once i had gone down to order room service it took 2hours for it to arrive!! the rooms are clean and if you are eating out and not planning on eating/ drinking in the hotel then it... more

I am sorry that you felt the hotel was lacking as we have just undergone a £3 million renovation to the hotel which has upgraded our bedrooms and public areas which completed at the end of September 2009. The hotel has also recently (October) launched a new Restaurant and Bar concept with Gourmet Burgers and Grills which has good service...

I chose to stay at the Park Inn as an alternative to staying at the Swan Hotel across the river for a wedding reception. My main reason was budget as the park was cheaper but i was certainly not dissapointed with the nice newly refurbished room. Lovely. The service when i arrived was very good on reception too. very friendly... more

I stayed here for a few days on business, having previously stayed at the Swan during trips to Bedford. When I first walked into the Park Inn, I shuddered- the decor in the corridors and reception areas is extremely tatty and dated looking. However, the room itself was OK- in need of renovation, but clean and of reasonable size. Breakfast... more

Thank you for your comments, the hotel has recently undergone a renovation to the bedrooms and public areas giving the hotel a whole new look. £3 million has been spent on brand new bedrooms including the instillation of air conditioning units, safes and flatscreen televisions with interactive system. The hotel has also received new carpets throughout as well as new...

Having looked through other entries on Trip Advisor, my wife and I went through the doors of The Park Inn with trepidation. We need not have worried. Maybe we got lucky, but we found the staff friendly and always available. Someone on TA talked about a slow lift. Jeez, some people must be very fussy. Two lifts, always available and... more

Stayed at this hotel while attending a function nearby, i got to say the recption areas are nicely decorated but the rooms are a total disaster, we have booked interconecting rooms for my two sisters and son in one room myself, my wife and baby in the other. the rooms was just falling apart there were holes ripped in the... more

Booked a one night stay here to attend a family celebration. Entered hotel from carpark down endless tatty corridor, checked in at reception and were directed back to where we'd been. The room was dark and unpleasant, with a view of the back of some decrepit building. The hotel was virtually empty when we went, would it have been so... more

Do not even be tempted to stay here. The place is quite simply dreadful. I had booked 'Romance Inn Bedford'. What a laugh! Having waited ten minutes to check in, we then went up to the room, via a very slow lift which had an insect which looked something like a small cockroach in it. Once on the 8th floor,... more

Grim, grim hotel experience. The staff at the hotel are lovely and the reception area is okay. But the bedrooms are dire -really dire. Think 1940's Russia - the dated, worn and shabby/dirty decor. The bath rooms are horrid, I dare not risk a bath, and the trickle that came out of the shower was feeble. Everything from the bed... more

Dirty hotel. Dirty room. When I layed my head down on the pillow I was greeted with 3 blobs of old chewing gum stuck on the bedside table! For 45 quid a night it wasn't as good a bargain as we first thought. You are better off spending 30 something quid and staying in the much cleaner Travelodge 5 minutes... more

I stayed over for just 1 night. The whole hotel is in need of a refurb from top to bottom Bedroom was passable if a little tired but bathroom was little short of disgusting. Show head had not been cleaned in ages and was covered in mold (see photos if you dare) TV system is also antiquated. They also wanted... more
