We booked this through last minute .com for a Friday and Saturday night. On arrival the hotel looked shabby and worn. Our room was unbelievable, dirty a fire door that was nailed shut a smoke detector stuffed with toilet paper. The furniture was old worn and broken, the carpet filthy. Stayed here for business during the Bedford River Festival 2008 (last minute hotel booking so only got myself to blame!). The room was filthy, shower didn't work properly but the defining moment was when one of my colleagues went to use the toilet in his room the waste pipe leaked all over the carpet - nice touch! The Edwardian House hotel was possibly last decorated in Edwardian times!, It seemed that a radical overhaul may have been started (new laminate flooring in a pile by the front door) but the rest of the hotel looked worn out! Room was of good sie, dated furniture and decor but the bed was fresh and clean and folded on it... more

Booked this on the hotel website. I wont bore you with how we did and why but it was around what someone in our party wanted to pay. Staying Bedord for one night for a wedding reception.
