Stayed here before and decided to return as I was working in the area. Again on arriving the reception was warm and welcoming. My room was spotlessly clean and comfy. Breakfast was served between 7:30-8:30 although on asking I was served mine at 7:00 as I was starting work earlier. Very accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful and the girl who... More

Stayed here last year and was not impressed. Very unfriendly welcome. I left a review (July 13'). On this visit it was completely the opposite, was met by a v friendly guy, who showed me to my room checked the rad and advised me on where i could eat and watch the footy. My room was a cosy ensuite, nice... More

Probably the best room we have had on our travels. Lovely courtyard and breakfast. Great decor in the room and all amenities you could want. The owner has spent a lot of time making her establishment authentic to the Victorian era and that appealed to US also. The dining area is beautiful with an outlook onto the courtyard full of... This B&B is vile! The owner Linda is rude and out of order! I also got eaten alive by the fleas in the beds. Which were apparently from a dog that was in the room before us. Talk about unhygienic! It is absolutely disgusting, would now recommend this B&B to my worse enemy!

I was looking for somewhere to stay at 10:30 at night and tried 5 b&bs before this one, all bar one had owners that appeared to be out drinking. I paid £30 for a room with breakfast which I think is reasonable. The room was clean and comfy. I only needed one bed but got two. If I ever need... More

Just spent the weekend walking in the lakes. We booked 2 night B&B as we have done often at Abbey Court. The welcome, rooms and breakfast was first class, it's nice to see staff that enjoy serving the customers. The landlady welcomed us like old friends and couldn't do enough for us.I would highly recommend this Guest House if,like me... More

Stayed here 3 times now and won't hesitate to be booking here again when i'm back working in the area. The rooms are spotless and the beds are the comfiest i've slept in at a guest house. I've stopped at several place in Carlisle over the years but now I've found this one I won't be going anywhere else. Far... More

Very comfortable large room in this lovely guest house. Easy parking and easy to find, close to the centre of town. We stayed one night and had a short walk up the road for dinner and also the cinema. Great breakfast and good value.

Was met by the owner. I explained that i parked behind the property by her vehicle, she came and said "why cant you park there"(on the street) as its my dads birthday and i need to goto the cemetry?? She then walked of. I noticed a no parking sign where she told me to park, i walked back and rang... More
