We recently stayed at Dalston Hall for two nights and it is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We could not fault our stay in any way. The staff were attentive, pleasant and friendly and really made us feel welcome. We dined at the Hotel on both evenings and the food was amazing, absolutely fantastic ! We stayed... More

We were thoroughly disappointed with our two night stay at Dalston Hall. First impressions were quite promising; it is certainly a characterful old building. Check in was completed without any problems, the young chap who works on reception and bar is an asset to the establishment. We made our way to room 6, which is accessed via a private stone... More

This hotel to look at is like a castle, inside it's beautiful with a mix of old and new furnishings. We attended a wedding here and it was perfect, attention to detail was perfect, all the seats covered to a fully covered stairs and balcony in trailing flowers, it was very intimate and professional whilst also a feeling of relaxation... Dalston hall is a master piece and a must stay over. I find it amazing that they turned this old classy mansion which is steeped in history into a hotel. My wife and I were thrilled to find this gem on the internet by accident after trawling through last minute deals on hotels.com. As you drive through Dalston and having... More

We have just returned home after a stay at Dalston Hall, for our first anniversary. Hotel and surroundings are stunning; the building itself is truly beautiful. We stayed in room 6....truly amazing! especially the extremely winding stone spiral staircase in the tower. Bed and room extremely comfortable. The staff could not do enough for us; in particular Yan the owner... More

We have just left dalston hall after staying for 1 night. There were six of us in our party and we all had a superior room. Our room was lovely and spacious and the others rooms (although smaller) were beautifully decorated with lovely bathrooms which included a jacuzzi bath. On arrival (earlier than planned) we were told that our rooms... More

I've decided to stay here as a romantic break, and loved it. We chose it due to its ghostly stories which made it fun and something a bit different. Once there, I thought the hotel was beautiful and the grounds stunning. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Our room had a beautiful stand alone bath which we loved! The... More

Upon arriving at the hotel to check in as a treat the night before my wedding for me and my three bridesmaids - a treat from my husband to be, the front reception desk was not manned. I rang the bell and someone came out, asking for a credit card, although they had already been given these details upon booking.They... More

First of all, this is a beautiful "English Country Manor" property. Decor of the interior is beautiful. But, when night falls, so does Dalston Hall. Interior lighting has no ambiance whatsoever; the lounge is lit like a chain supermarket; all brilliant and blinding led spotlights, cancelling the attempt of myriad candles to create coziness. And don't even mention the faux... More
