We were gifted a nights stay in the hotel along with a three course meal as a wedding present and needless to say it was one of our favourite gifts. Dalston hall itself is impressive to look at both inside and out and our room was large and luxurious. Our favourite feature of the room was the jacuzzi bath in... More

Stayed on business a couple of times now, have to say the management and staff are really helpful. I arrived late and they managed to organise some sandwiches and a drink. Rooms are nicely decorated and the bathrooms are ok also. Breakfast was a choice of continental and a cooked one if you wanted it. All in all worth a stay... More

Stayed last night and just need to say that this hotel is just beautiful, tranquil and truly luxurious. We stayed in room 6 it was absolute heaven just stunning with our own private stone spiral staircase there just isn't enough positive adjectives to describe Dalston Hall. The staff were wonderful, John especially, thank you. The food, we had steak, was... More

After a bad week at work decided a short bolt away from home was in order. Just stayed one night (Saturday) in room 1 after a shopping trip to Carlisle. This place is just awesome, the room was just perfect with a wonderful bath (ambiance in buckets) and modern / traditional integration. The food was to die for with quite... More

We recently stayed at Dalston Hall for two nights and it is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We could not fault our stay in any way. The staff were attentive, pleasant and friendly and really made us feel welcome. We dined at the Hotel on both evenings and the food was amazing, absolutely fantastic ! We stayed... More

We were thoroughly disappointed with our two night stay at Dalston Hall. First impressions were quite promising; it is certainly a characterful old building. Check in was completed without any problems, the young chap who works on reception and bar is an asset to the establishment. We made our way to room 6, which is accessed via a private stone... More

This hotel to look at is like a castle, inside it's beautiful with a mix of old and new furnishings. We attended a wedding here and it was perfect, attention to detail was perfect, all the seats covered to a fully covered stairs and balcony in trailing flowers, it was very intimate and professional whilst also a feeling of relaxation... Dalston hall is a master piece and a must stay over. I find it amazing that they turned this old classy mansion which is steeped in history into a hotel. My wife and I were thrilled to find this gem on the internet by accident after trawling through last minute deals on hotels.com. As you drive through Dalston and having... More

We have just returned home after a stay at Dalston Hall, for our first anniversary. Hotel and surroundings are stunning; the building itself is truly beautiful. We stayed in room 6....truly amazing! especially the extremely winding stone spiral staircase in the tower. Bed and room extremely comfortable. The staff could not do enough for us; in particular Yan the owner... More
