We stayed here for 3 nights. Room was clean bed was very clean and comfortable. Staff very polite and friendly .A good Advertisement for stobart. We will definitely be stopping here again on our trips to and from Scotland.

We needed a budget room for the night to break our drive up to Edinburgh. We arrived at midnight and were greeted by very friendly staff (despite the late hour!), and were pleasantly surprised by the room which was well fitted with a bath as well as a shower. It was clean and comfortable, with well-glazed windows which kept out... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel. Nice and easy to find when you realise it is branded as a Night owl Hotel and not a Stobart truckstop. the staff were friendly at the reception (which is just the petrol station shop). The car park is out the front - a piece of wasteland with no security. I had ruptured... More

What can I say? As some of the customers before me noted, it will do you. It is cheap, yet the word "basic" is just too flattering. It is convenient, not far from the highway, but that's just it. The lady at the counter was very nice, though.

We were due to set off to Scotland on the Friday for a holiday, but decided to set off on Thursday lunchtime instead. We had a quick look online, and found this place. I read the reviews after booking, and was very apprehensive about going. We booked a family room, as there's myself, my Husband, and 2 Children. (10 and... More

As others have said outward appearances may put you off, but inside room was very clean, bedding a bit tired but again very clean. Shower room again a bit tired looking but clean, shower a bit patchy, struggled to find a comfortable heat setting (found best to leave it running a while before getting in). Well stocked shop and Large... More

First impression is that this is a low quality hotel, but the location just off the motorway is pretty good, even if it doesn't look like it's trying to be a hotel at all. The well stocked trucker shop is OK, and the bar is fine - if you don't want quality and attractive. At least it had comfy seats... More

Stayed one night on way past. Clean sheets, a shower what more could you want. The simplicity of the place had a certain charm, that back to prison look is certainly in. Had to scratch the surface to get a smile from the staff but it came eventually How many hotels have a fully stocked shop in there reception, with... More

booked in to the night owl as we were up to visit a family member in hospital. had travelled up from bedfordshire and left at 4a.m. in the morning as the visit was quite urgent. when we arrived,, we wondered if we had done the right thing from the outer appearance. But when arriving back in the evening after visiting... More

Parked in the lorry park for a night and had a few pints in the bar. The barmaid sat with this tall chap both on their laptops all night long. Says it is the best job in the world where else could she get money for nothing.
