iF WE HADN'T BEEN TRAVELLING WITH MY SON AND FUTURE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW and her two small children WE WOULD HAVE DRIVEN ON!!! The whole hotel was FILTHY! and would I am sure not even passed a health and safety inspection. We were greeted at the entrance by an overflowing rubbish bin and cigarette butts. The entrance hall was full of laundry... more

Stayed here to break up a long journey, so its location next to the motorway was ideal for that. The room only cost us £19 so it was a bargain. If we had paid more then we might have had grounds to moan about the shabby / cleaniness of the room. The bed was fine and we had the basics... more

We stayed here on our way back to London after the Christmas break. You don't expect luxury for £25 a night; in fact, I thought the room was pretty spacious, if a little worn. But what marred our stay was the appearance in our room in the wee small hours of the morning of a bloke with a clipboard claiming... more

It wasn't as difficult to find the Travelodge as I expected - as long as you take plenty of time to spot the signs you should be OK. The room was clean, but was in serious need of refurbishment. It was the shabbiest room I have stayed in. It was a family room but was smaller than in other Travelodges.... more

Booked for overnight stay while on business in carlisle. as has been reviewed before this travelodge is on the southbound carriageway of the m6, but can be found from northbound by following 'signs',. these are small and could do with updating. but ok in daylight - good luck if it's dark!!. the room is typical for travelodge layout. the fittings... more

Stayed in Travelodge Southwaite for 2 nights whilst on a trip to the Lake District. It's located on the Southbound side of Southwaite services but can be reached from the Northbound side by heading into the services and immediately turning left down past a sign saying 'No Entry - Lodge Guests only'. This leads you down a back lane, a... more

We booked two rooms about a month before travel, at £26 per room per night. We arrived early and could have checked in at 1.0pm, but then asked for a top floor room we waited until 2.30pm. Room clean, beds very comfortable, ketlle etc provided.. Triple glazing but had windows open all night M6 very quite. After paying £60 for B&B... more

My husband and I spent 1 night at the Travelodge, having booked a 26 GBP Saver rate in January or February. After a week in nice but smallish B&B rooms, it was great to have some room to spread out. Check-in was speedy and friendly, which was great, especially since we checked in at 3:00 on the dot (the posted... more

I booked an overnight stay on my way south. This lodge is in a great position for a break however it is obviously a very well used lodge and this showed in the fixtures and fittings. It seems a bit grubby and needs some upgrading. The room we had was on the ground floor and very warm , just before... more
