Stayed here over night inbetween stops. We arrived after a long journey and quite late, but the lady who greeted us was lovely and warming. She showed us up to our en suite room and it was lovely. It was a beautifully decorated room with the most comfortable beds. There were nice little touches like coffee, biscuits, muffins, perfume and... More

A very welcoming host! We had a large luxurious room with lots of complimentary goodies and toiletries. Plenty of storage/hanging space and a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was fantastic with cereals, sliced fresh fruit, yoghurt and juices etc, and a hot breakfast cooked to order. Nothings seems too much trouble! Parking is just around the corner and free with a... More

Had an enjoyable stay here at this B and B. As soon as I arrived after my long delays I was greeted by the owner. She was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the single room and the room was great perfect for just getting my head down for a sleep. Breakfast was really delicious as well. I would... More

this is a beautiful 'character' building located close (5 mins walk) to Carlisle's town centre and associated amenities. It is beautifully decorated and maintained and puts many hotel chains to shame. The owner is friendly, welcoming and informative and her pride in the property is very evident. The inclusive breakfast has a wide variety and, like this lovely accommodation overall,... More

We were given the Attic room No.8. Velux window therefore no view. Twin room but should've been a single occupancy. Very little room around the beds. Tea tray on top of the chest or drawers with no room to put anything down, nowhere to put your case apart from on top of the bed. The room itself was very cold... More

Booking on-line always involves an element of ^have I picked the best possible option?" about it. Here we knew we had got it right, from the moment we were welcomed inside. We were offered a free upgrade to a larger room having actually booked a small one. (We didn't need the upgrade, but really appreciated the offer!) A very attractively... More

Myself and two friends stayed at this b&b last night after visiting the Lakes District and we were so impressed by the welcome and the room. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and catered to every potential need that you could think of the suite. None of us would hesitate staying there again and would highly recommend it.

The Carlisle Tourist Office found me a room at this 4 star family run property, for which I'm very grateful as I had not booked a room before arriving. Friendly and personable owner Melanie made me feel very welcome. As her daughter was having a birthday party my first night and was concerned about it disturbing me, she offered me... More

Well situated near the centre of Carlisle, but for walkers doing Hadrians' Wall (Mickledore Holidays) it was a unfortunately a very noisy front room above the traffic. Well appointed room with big comfortable bed, but complicated en-suite. Otherwise the excelent breakfast and freindly service made up for the noisy room! J&M 8 Jul 12
