We came down to Carlisle for our niece's graduation ceremony & everything about this lovely little B&B was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble and rather than let us pay for taxis the owners gave us a ride to Carlisle centre. Would recommend 100%

Nothing was too much trouble, even when my son walked in after 10pm with an Indian takeaway !!!! We decided not to drive into Carlisle and intead got a taxi from the local... More

I stayed here overnight after riding down from Fort William on route to my home in Mid Wales. I was given a good welcome and made to feel that nothing was to much to make my stay top class, and I have to say they I could find no fault with the premises or the service I recieved. The room... More

This was easily the best b & b we have stayed in. the accommodation was very nice. the location close enough to the centre/race course. The breakfast was superb The best part of the stay are the owners. Both are polite and more than helpful. Gave us a lift to the city centre and the races. if Carlsberg did b&b's............

We stayed here prior to my partner competing in a race. Sue and Warren were very friendly and helpful. It was like visiting family members. They accommodated our early start on the Saturday, by putting on an early breakfast. The Roman well inside the house, is a must see. Their local knowledge of the area and in particular meant they... Convenient for Carlisle, Penrith and M6. As other reviews have said, very clean and well equipped rooms, good breakfast and very helpful hosts. My only problem was that wifi not available in all rooms and areas - not surprising but worth realising you may need to go into communal areas if, like me, you want to work online.

We realise there was a problem with Room 5 the farthest from the hub, however we now have a Range Extender and can now get Wi-Fi in all rooms and area's. More

Of course I'm making reference to the Roman well they have inside! That really impressed my folks who were traveling with us at the time. The rooms were lovely and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent. They catered to my husbands picky eating fantastically and I tried black pudding for the first (and probably) last time... More

We stayed here while doing the recce for a classic car rally. It was perfect for what we needed - in the heart of the area we were looking at with a great lounge for spreading out our maps and free WiFi to do our research. A comfortable en-suite room with an exceptionally clean bathroom. A good quality cooked breakfast... More
