My husband and I stayed here on an overnight stop from the midlands to the highlands. We were made extremely welcome firstly by Warren and then equally so by Sue. The room was spotless, bathroom well set out and extremely clean. It was nice to have 'real' shampoo, conditioner & shower gel rather than the tiny little 'designer' freebies you... More

My daughter & I stayed at Crossroads on Saturday & Sunday night as we regularly stable at Greenlands EQ on route to shows in the south. What a lovely warm welcome from Sue & Warren. They are a charming couple, so friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was fab too. We will definitely be returning. Thank... More

My wife & I were travelling through to Glasgow & decided to break up the journey with an overnight stay in Carlisle. We chose the Crossroads after reading the excellent reviews, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Sue & Warren are great hosts, and made us feel really welcome. The room was very comfortable, with coffee making facilities, TV and comfy... More

We've used this cracking hotel a few times now on our trips up north to Scotland. Perfectly place just 1.5 miles off the M6 yet not a hint of road noise?? Always a warm welcome from the hosts as well as a very welcome cuppa on arrival - don't get that at Holiday Inn or Hilton! Rooms are spotless and... More

Lovely comfortable and spotlessly clean B&B with historic feature Roman Well in foyer and comfortable guest lounge and dining room. Warren & Sue were delightful hosts and the breakfast and winter dinners were excellent. A very convenient stopping off point between London and Inverness, with easy access off the Motorway and excellent parking – even for a large car; and... More

Lovely place. Quiet, clean and welcoming. Lovely lounge to sit in on an evening and nice big dining area. Lovely big breakfast. We had twin room with a bathroom 3 metres away for our own use AND they allow well behaved clean dogs.

This is my 3rd visit and as before Warren and Sue made us feel so welcome. My friend had a slight trip (falling over her own feet) and Sue went out of her way to check she was OK. Even loaning her an ankle strap. I had a different room this trip and like my "old" room it was very... More

Myself and a colleague stayed at the Crossroads at the end of March, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and the rooms were excellent and I needn't have brought my toiletries bag as they had provided nearly everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone needing accommodation in... More
