Stoped here with my gf as we up visiting friends celebrating their engagement party. Not knowing the area we went on late rooms and booked somewhere near to tge centre. We found this hotel at a £59 reduced from £81. Upon arrival we were firsty issued a twin room. This was tiny and upon opening the door you were hut... More

Stayed here overnight, out n back on a trip north with friends. Yes it is due for a refurbishment but for £50 a night b&b worth it. Easy access from Junction 42 of the M6. Our rooms were clean and comfortable radiators and skirting boards due a repaint. Used the sauna, steam room n pool which were excellent. The bar meals were... More

A one night stay as a get away turned bad within minutes! The room is small, dirty and damp. The furniture is old, it's warn and stained. The dead flies on the window where horrendous. The dirty bathroom made us sick and the bar was staffed when convinient to the worker and served overpriced drinks to enjoy while sitting on... More

Normally I use Tebay when travelling on M6 but it was full-so chose this one as it is fairly close to the motorway. [Wish now I had carried on travelling] Luckily for me I managed to get a very good rate via Laterooms for this hotel @ £55 per night as that is all the hotel is worth. The whole... More

I'm afraid I was disappointed with this hotel, especially after seeing decent reviews online. I was prepared to forgive the tired exterior of the hotel and the pot hole filled car park with bizarre and small spaces, however the interior of the hotel was not much better. Paint and paper peeling off the walls and a dirty room and bathroom... More

Car parking is a bit interesting! Friendly, efficient reception got us checked in and directed to are rooms. Smell of damp in the corridors is not nice. Room itself a bit tired looking but was nice and the TV had a built in DVD player - bonus! Breakfast was good, served on the other side of the lounge opposite the... More

No one on reception. Rooms were fairly clean but worn out and shabby. Swimming pool and gym were small and not very well maintained. Breakfast was surprisingly good. It was cheap (but not very cheerful). Avoid if you can, but no the end of the world if you do have to stay there...

Since we last came the hotel is getting more and more tired looking - still offers good value if you can overlook its faults - typically that rooms and public areas are in desperate need of refurb - lack of staff means that those working although generally doing a good job can't get to you quick enough. Spa facilities whilst... More

At 2 got key walked along a dirty damp smelling corridor which seriously needed decorating to find the room. Walked... More
