Before I write anything else I'll mention that it's a a guest house, not a hotel. Slight difference... but not much! On street parking with a short walk to the guesthouse. Clean building, clean room, pleasant welcome when I arrived. Room comfortable and clean, tea, coffee and TV. In the morning nice breakfast and looked after - I've used this... More

Stayed at Cherry Grove for a night whilst on a Land's End to John O'Groats cycle ride. The ownes were very nice letting me store my bike in the shed overnight, breakfast was very good, and the room was great! They also did a little laundry for me as well. Easy walking distance of local pubs and shops, would definitely... More

We spent three nights at the Cherry Grove Guest House and had a very comfortable stay. Our hosts were both welcoming and helpful and the room was well equipped and furnished. We were fortunate in getting a parking space across the street as that could otherwise have been a problem. The property is well located for accessing the city centre... More

Went here for business and wanted a friendly stay rather than a corporate one. The guest house is lovely - a home from home. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel part of the family. My only regret is not staying longer. Even more - I could see my place of work from the guest house! Parking is... More

Stayed 1 night on our cycle tour Of HWC. Arrived very wet and received a very warm reception. Our soaked cycling shoes were taken from us and dried out overnight. Extremely comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast choice. I have no hesitation in recommending this guest house. It is also very central for restuarants in Carlisle.

Friendly hosts and homecosy place. Fits best for couples and not so good for families. The place gives a good atmosphere of english tradition in everything from the rooms to food and more. 15 minutes walk from the center where things take place.
