I booked the tranquil ottor by chance after searching on the internet for self-catering accommodation, suitable for people with disabilities and who would accept dogs - I was very pleased with the result! We have just returned from a relaxing weekend at the Tranquill Otter. The surroundings are beautiful and the lodge is lovely and has everything you need. Have just arrived home from a lovely break with 3 friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. The location is perfect for a 'get-away from it all' holiday with all that's required to make it home from home. The hot tub is lovely, especially under the stars with a glass of bubbly on the side!! The location of these lodges is amazing! Only thing that could be better is signposting the turn to the lodges from the main road, as it was very dark in the lanes and took about half an hour driving back and forth to find it! Usually the direction we provide bring our guests here without any problems. But we can appreciate when its dark and you are in a new area you can miss a turning. We will take your...

This is my second stay at the tranquil otter and it was so good to go back. As soon as you walk in to the log cabin you feel relaxed. I travelled with my partner and little boy and he loved it, he loved feeding the ducks, and overlooking the lake is so lovely. Very Very peaceful and very clean.... more

Good friendly customer service, great directions to the place (no need for sat nav !). Some teenagers might find facilities quiet, however our kids enjoyed having time to play family board games, reading and the boat. They even have a chinese that delivers, couldn't ask for any more.. 10 out of 10. more
