A really nice, comfy, friendly place. Hosts were straight out from what they were doing to make you feel welcome and show you around. Room was a good size, with very comfy bed and pillows. Near to the town for amenities and sights, and only 3/4 mile from the wall walk. Quiet place and location too. The breakfast was lovely... More

Whenever checking into an accommodation there are certain aspects such as cleanliness and amenities you always expect. Langleigh House has these and a whole lot more. From the wit and excellent cooking by Yvette to the humour and all round tour guide aspects of Norman who knows where the best off-license and fish and chips shop is and also has... More

There is lots of choice for B+B in Carlisle - I think we were just lucky to have plumped for this place! Lots of reasons for the 5 star review: 1. Secure off-road parking 2. Easy walk to town centre 3. Fantastic breakfast - proper toast! 4. Spotless room that was in total keeping with the house. Goodness knows how... More

My husband and I visited Langleigh Guest House at the end of February this year--we were greeted with smiles from the owners Norman and Yvette and their two friendly dogs. The room was furnished with antique furniture and there was beautiful linens on the bed and in the bathroom. The guest house is within easy walking distance from the train... More

We originally booked in for two nights and actually stayed for five. Yvette, Norman, Jack and George were great hosts. Extremely comfortable and clean with a serving of nice food. Golf, Shopping and walks are within easy reach and very enjoyable.

Beautiful rooms, great hosts and fantastic food. We booked an evening meal and were very pleased - Yvette is a great chef. Our room was Victorian elegance, clean comfortable and well coming. Great location. This Guest House is well worth a visit - highly recommended.

Comfortable victorian house on edge of Carlisle. Welcoming hosts Norman and Yvette. No evening meals served but plenty of good restaurants locally within 4 mins walk. Room 4 was good, en-suite shower, but no wifi, which was present (free) in the rest of the house. Used as a base to walk Hadrian's Wall Path to / from Carlisle, and well... More

This quiet location is ideal to walk into the city centre (5 minutes). The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a luxurious feel. Yvette and Norman were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choices were excellent and beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend this guest house and will certainly return.

Norman and Yvette were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the attention to detail was meticulous. If there is a criticism the bathroom was a tad small and dated. But that was our room. I know other rooms had larger bathroom facilities. The location was perfect with easy access to the central part of town and all... More
