This quiet location is ideal to walk into the city centre (5 minutes). The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a luxurious feel. Yvette and Norman were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choices were excellent and beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend this guest house and will certainly return.

Norman and Yvette were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the attention to detail was meticulous. If there is a criticism the bathroom was a tad small and dated. But that was our room. I know other rooms had larger bathroom facilities. The location was perfect with easy access to the central part of town and all... More

The owners are so friendly. Wonderful breakfast, silent nice rooms, parking area in front of the guesthouse, you can walk in two Minuten into the center of Carlisle. There is also Rickerby Park close for sportive activations.

Everything that it said it was. Comfortable, warm, welcoming, great location for Carlisle, free off street parking, hearty breakfasts. The hosts were knowledgeable and helpful. Will use again when next in Carlisle

I booked here in 2013 and only just got round to writing this as im thinking of going back there this year. I booked it for its good value price and secure motor bike parking. We were given a warm welcome by the owner as soon as we rode in to the car park, and an even warmer one when... More

I had not stayed at Langleigh House for several years so I was pleased to return. It is a great place to stay and so peaceful and quiet. Run by genuine people I would recommend that if you're ever in that neck of the woods it's the place to stay. Richard Smith

I came to Carlisle on business to attend a module at Cumbria University. Norman gave me a warm welcome into Langleigh House, which has the charm and decoration of a Victorian property, complete with Grandfather clock, porcelain ornaments and lakeland paintings. My bedroom was spacious, warm, finely decorated with heavy sash curtains and the mattress on the bed was supportive... More

I had been travelling for hours when I arrived at the Langleigh, but I was greeted warmly by the hosts [and 2 beautiful dogs] and shown to my room. They made me feel like a long-lost friend and the facilities were first class. I slept really well [apart from a strange mechanical buzzing noise which woke me once] and had... More
