Good service but just a couple of nit picks, but would not stop me from stopping here again. Breakfast is 100% spot on! Only a 10min walk into town, few minute drive to golf course. Good location. Staff very friendly and rooms big.

I stayed here for a evening football game at Carlisle FC. It is ideally located being 8 mins walk from the ground and 8 mins walk from the city centre. The room was large, clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and the price very reasonable. I would not hesitate to stay here... More

The East View Guest house delivered everything I look for in a B and B. The house and my room were sparklingly clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and the breakfast was delicious. Add in an owner and staff who were cheerful and helpful and you have a perfect place to stay.

Stayed here one night for work as apparently you cant get a train south past 7pm on a saturday...anyway. stayed in room 5, a single which was small-ish but fine for one night. Bed was (obviously) a single but comfy. Had sheets and blankets instead of a duvet which made it feel slightly dated as I prefer a duvet -... More

Only once stayed in a guest house previously which was not a great experience but based on previous reviews of East View, was prepared to give it a try. Our rooms were huge and looked freshly decorated with comfortable king sized bed and sofa.Very clean with plenty of fresh fluffy towels. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked with a good... Stayed here for two nights while walking Hadrians Wall. Lovely host who directed us to some lovely restaurants. Our room was beautiful. Better still was the breakfast. Lovely fresh berries, delicious croissants with several cheeses and hams followed by an enormous English Breakfast. Amazing. Short walk into town, castle and cathedral.

We stayed here on our last night after walking the Cumbria Way and were not disappointed. The building is huge and had guests from all over the world staying there. We were welcomed in and shown our room which was at the top of the house but well worth it as the room was beautiful. It was a short walk... More

You cannot go wrong booking your stay at the East View. 10/10 on all points. Gorgeous room and amazing breakfast with everything possible and more. Julie was the perfect hostess. Gorgeous smell when you walk in the door too. Spotless, comfortable and an excellent location. Would totally recommend this B&B.

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in a twin room. Room was very clean, generous size and very well equipped. The location was excellent with short walk into town. The breakfast was excellent with good quality ingredients such as the bacon and sausage. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and would stay... More
