We stayed 3 nights during the week in Sept 08. It was easy to find. On arrival the grounds are well kept and the car parking adequate. The building looks attractive and reception clean and smart. Stayed here for one night for work. Nice room, clean with TV, tea making facilities, decent sized bathroom and universally helpful staff. Negatives, there was traffic noise, I couldn't get the heating to work and the cooked breakfast items looked a little sad. I'd happily stay there again, but 3 1/2 stars seems about right. Betty more

Is clean, has plenty of towels, tea & coffee, air-con works, comfortable bed, swimming pool isn't bad either. Rooms are cleamed very day & you get papers delivered to your room if you request it. more

Could not praise this motel too highly. The staff were excellent. On arrival the front desk staff were very helpful as were the staff in the gym. I've stayed in Holiday Inn, Travelodge type accomodation before and they are generally pretty average. Holiday Inn Colchester made a real effort to be better than average however. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. the bed comfortable and we had a very pleasant night's stay. more
