I have stayed at this hotel and visited the spa for day visits. The swimming pool is looking increasingly shabby and the changing rooms are a disgrace, very dirty.Bins for dirty towels not emptied regularly, shower cubicles not clean, shower dispensers missing. The cleanliness of the spa area is not up to standard and lets the rest of the hotel down.More money needs to be... more

I stayed here for 6 nights in total in February as I was working in Witham. This hotel is fantastic, i don't think i've ever been to a hotel where the rooms are so spotless. Breakfast has a wide range of continental items and you can also order a cooked breakfast which is of excellent quality. I only used room... more

We were at the Hotel for Valentines weekend having booked an excellent deal through Your Golf travel which included Dinner Bed and Breakfast and 2 rounds of golf for £79 pp. We paid an extra £10pp to attend the Valentines dinner which was well worth it. We were early for check in but the chap on reception could not have... more

Stayed at this hotel because my usual haunts were fully booked. Having read some of the previous reviews, I was concerned, but went ahead anyway. The check in desk was slower than I would have liked but following that, the whole team could not have been more helpful. I needed to leave earlier than the breakfast was served- a tray... more

Decided to stay here as a well earned get away. Attended a wedding here a few years ago, so had fond memories and thought it would be good to re-visit. Journey ok, and found the hotel ok. Thought the greeting at reception could've been better, the woman wasn’t very helpful. Our room was quite a walk from reception, not offered... more

I attended a two day reunion at the Stoke by Nayland Golf Club. The hotel has added 80 rooms since my last visit 3 years ago, but do not have the staff to accommodate the extra people. The staff that are there are in serious need of some hospitality training. Reception is a nightmare and the staff that checked me... more

We arrived on friday at 5pm after a five hour drive in fair traffic conditions. No problem parking car. Plenty of space. At reception you need to watch as you enter as the doors open out towards you and if you are quick they could catch you. The first impressions of a hotel really do count. Best western please take... more

The staff at check in could not find us on the computer when they did we were handed charge cards, which we were told were for all our purchases. We walked all the way to where our room was inserted the card only to find that it didn’t work so we went back to reception and showed them the cards,... more
