Just returned from a one night stay. Lovely looking hotel. Ideal location on he seafront but in quiet part of the town. Very impressive public areas. Staff need a bit of training on customer care. Greeting on arrival was a little cold, not the warm welcome which you expect. The same at checkout, no enquiry as to if we had... more

We stayed here for 1 night in may after a christening. No major problems, the hotel is in a good location. The room was a little on the small side but it did have nice sea views. I couldnt have stayed here for a long duration as the room was a little small and the bed wasn't the most comfy!!... more

We stayed at the Hotel for four nights in April. At first it looked clean enough but the fixtures and fittings needed a good dusting! The bed was clean enough but the bathroom needed some attention - taps swivelling around, shower leaking over the floor, tiles needing cleaning etc. Our room wasn't cleaned, nor bed made, no clean towels on... more

We stayed here for one night over Easter. This is probably the biggest hotel in Skegness. It is located at the South end of Skegness, 5/10 mins walk into the main centre, so it is well located. It has an impressive appearance from the outside, and the bar/reception area is quite modern. Our room was fine, pretty clean, if a... more

After staying at this hotel for a relaxing weekend, I was very dissapointed at the overall general cleanliness!, The room had thick dust on the teatray and also round the picture rail, and was generally unkept. The bathroom was very very cold with no optional heating which made bathing very uncomfortable! The breakfast left a lot to be desired with... more

Myself ,2 sisters and an aunt stayed on the Sunday stopover deal - arrive for lunch includes evening meal and breakfast all very good. Room standard very basic but did not expect anything more for the price we paid. I damaged my leg quite badly on a metal form that had been left protruding from the snooker table, although informed... more

We stopped in a family room for 1 night and overall we loved it.The hotel, the staff, the food were all 1st class.Just 1 disappointment though. After a longish journey we all wanted a shower to freshen up but the hot water system didn`t seem to be connected to the showers and as a result we had to endure a lukewarm shower. The Reception... more

The location suited us very well, but the standard of the rooms and service was not what we expected. All the three rooms booked (De luxe, superior and standard) had tatty furniture, poor decoration and bathrooms, and lacked basic facilities such as bedside tables, toiletries, towels and a hairdrier. It was hot, extremely noisy late at night and very disappointing... more

My wife and I had a lovely 60s weekend here. All the staff were polite and helpful. Good food and a clean room and bedding also enjoyed the entertainment. We can recomend the Royal. more
