We travelled with David Urquart to this hotel for a twixmas break. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were exceptional. they all worked so hard to ensure your holiday was a success. The general manager Ross was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. It was obvious he loved his job and was helpful and pleasant at all... More

We have just returned from our 1st Christmas break away from home. The staff & manager Ross were excellent. We had room 43,reasonable size with a lovely sea view. Our problem was the cold coming through the double glazed windows! We managed by closing curtains & leaving electric fire on until our last day 26/27 Dec.It was very windy with rain/sleet all on our... My partner and I have just returned from a Five Day Christmas break at this venue. Our stay was on a Full Board basis in, Room 33 on the second floor of the Hotel. As is mentioned in earlier reviews, the establishment depicts the 1930s era, with structural evidence throughout the building, and particular emphasis upon the lift. Our double... More

Went with Sunrise for a Turkey and Tinsel weekend Sept/Oct. Rooms dated but clean, although one of the windows in our sea view room was surrounded with mould. May be because it was not double glazed like the other window. The room was very cold, radiators were hardly ever on, but we did have a separate heater. Spare blankets are... More

Food very good (apart from under cooked eggs for breakfast), resteraunt service very good. Poor service at the bar due to understaffing. Hotel VERY tired but very clean. Room 29 beds barely adequate, after complaint a "topper" was put on the mattress but still left a lot to be desired. The weather was bitter cold but we were able to... More

Just returned from 3 night stay at hotel. hotel is a bit dated 1930s but very clean new carpets in all public areas ,it gives it a bit of old charm, Ross and his team work so had to make sure everyone is happy, Ross gives that extra bit you dont get from modern hotels. Rooms and all areas very... More

Stayed here for the 3rd time (glutton for punishment) last weekend and the quality of service is very impressive. The only room I could book at the time was a twin but the manager Ross went out of his way to put a Double bed in there for me. The food and breakfast is excellent and the staff are too!... More

A very Grand 'Art Deco' Hotel in its day and could be fantastic again, but sadly very dated interior. However the room was very clean and so were the sheets and towels. The location is probably the best in Skegness opposite the Sandcastle/Bowling Green on the seafront. We had room 43 a twin with a seaview. The staff seem hardworking... More
