I stopped staying at the Vine a few years ago, as it was so tired and uncomfortable and the food boring. I was aware that the hotel had changed hands recently and had been subject to a major refurbishment and a superb menu introduced in the elegant new restaurant. Had dinner there the other evening as a friend was staying... More

A lovely hotel in a quiet location on south side of Skegness. Rooms newly tastefully refurbished and very comfortable. All staff very friendly and helpful. The meals are freshly prepared and beautifully presented with an "Eton Mess" dessert to die for!! No lift so the stairs could be a problem for less mobile but the "Plus" points far outway this... We have stayed at this hotel a few times before in the past and always said that it could do with a bit of love and care . Well I must say the new owners ( I think they are new ) have superseded our expectations of a Skegness hotel. It has been given a lot of love and care... More

On arrival at the vine I found the place beautiful and peaceful. The staff was more than polite and helpful. We had a what I can say the best steak I've had in years in the oak room. Amazing. I would recommend this stay to anyone and the meals were of high standard. Oh and the sticky toffy pudding well... More

stayed here for two nights (Saturday and Sunday). We were given a nice room, obviously recently refurbished and very well cleaned and prepared. The room was 'boutique 'style in the best meaning of the phrase. Breakfast was very good on both mornings and we ate in the bar on the Sunday evening and this was good bar food also. The... More

Thank you for your lovely comments and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused to yourselves with regard to noise from the Wedding. This is obviously not a regular occurrence so hopefully on your next visit you will experience the Vine at its quieter time. We look forward to welcoming you back in the... More

Stayed one night at the vine hotel for our wedding anniversary,i did mention this to the hotel when booking.Had a lovely spacious room on the first floor overlooking the beer garden in front of the hotel. Lots of big mirrors in the room which was interesting with a very comfy king size bed. We had a three course evening meal... More

This was a one night stop in the increasingly unimpressive Skegness. We chose the Vine because of its good reviews and with its age and interesting history. The hotel is nicely located, away from the amusement tat along the front, with a splendid facade. As you enter the cosy lobby, on the right are the very traditional, attractive and totally... More

Wow! What a dining delight! The food was amazing! The curry came in an authentic box and chopsticks, the prawn crackers were divine! The twist on the fish basket was fab and delectable! Desserts were great too, bake well tart and sticky toffee pud. Delicious! Compliments to the chef, will definitely be back! :)

Just returned home after a fabulous long weekend in what I think must be the best hotel I have stayed in by far. We were a family of 6 ranging in age from 52 to 84 and all thoroughly enjoyed it. All 3 rooms 1 15 and 24 were beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The staff were very friendly and... More

This hotel was recently taken over by new manager who has recently renovated it to a high standard, with imaginative decor and excellent food served in the bar or in the restaurant that has a egg shape fire place in the centre. The pub side has remained its Scottish look but refreshed. Rooms we viewed were spacious and very well... More
