we stayed here one night but would definitely stay again. Clean and with extra little touches that make it so welcoming. Very close to town centre too. Breakfast as good as any hotel and parking just opposite the house.

stayed here for two nights recently-fabulous old building decorated in owner Gemma's unique shabby chic/cosy style.room was smallish but had everything and more we could possibly need including hot water bottles-gemma was fabulous,n othingtoo much trouble..breakfast was to die for and there was a vast cho.ice inc smoked salmon and vegetarian sausages.quite frankly one of the best B&bs ever.

We were visiting the area for a concert at Burghley House and needed accommodation at short notice. Thank goodness Gemma had a room for us at the Stamford Lodge. It's a lovely little B&B. We stayed for 2 nights in a very comfortable room (all spotlessly clean I should add) - the bed was massive and SO comfy, it made... More

We needed to stay overnight in Stamford and found this excellent B & B which we would recommend. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, even came out to the car to help with our bags - amazing. Greeted with a sizeable slice of cake and a drink. Bed very comfortable, breakfast relaxed and generous in a delightful room.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for four days. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely host Gemma and offered to choose a room. We picked a nicely decorated room with a super-comfy bed facing the garden. Our room was very very cosy and being taken care daily. So every time we came back from a trip the room... More

We stayed last night at The Stamford Lodge Guest House and it was excellent. Gemma is lovely and very welcoming, hospitable and accommodating. There were 8 of us occupying all four of the clean, fresh and beautifully furnished rooms. So much nicer than staying in a hotel where every room is exactly the same.. The breakfast was fantastic, and has... More

If you are going to stamford I recommend you stay in THIS b&b!!! It has an excellent location, which is a short walk (2mins) into the centre of town. The owner makes this place what it is; with lovely little personal touches throughout the hotel, breakfast room and rooms!!! She made us feel more than welcome and went above and... More

Though the rooms are rather small, this B&B is up there with best. Comfortable and sparkliñg clean, everything is well thought out and tastefully designed. An excellent breakfast. A charming hostess and close to the town centre of Stamford. There is a paid-for carpark across the road I would really recommend the Stamford Lodge. Christopher Burton

My friend and I have been staying for 1 night every 6 months for the past 2 years - Stamford is equidistant between our homes - so its an ideal meeting place - and the Stamford Lodge is just the best place to stay. I look forward to meeting my friend - and can't wait to get to my room!... More
