We have had many meals there and have always enjoyed good food, excellent service and a friendly welcome. It may be a little old fashioned for some tastes but we enjoy the charming atmosphere and always leave with a feeling of satisfaction. The many current letters they have on display testify to the quality of their functions and a number... more

The Vanden Plas Owners Club (ClassicCars) have held their Annual Easter Lunches & Christmas Dinner here at Lady Annes for over twenty years and have always had superb service, food is excellent (beef is yummy), location is idealas our members come from all over the country being just off A1. The Manager & his son are absolutely fantastic, couldn't do... more

We were extremely unfortunate to have stayed at this "hotel" we had a dinner engagement with some friends and decided to meet in Stamford, a secretary booked the hotel on our behalf. From the potholed muddy car park to the the reception we trudged, as soon as we entered the building there was a strong odour of neglect, stale food... more

We booked this hotel having read Trip Advisor reviews on this and various other hotels in the area, and were intrigued at the mixed reviews the Lady Annes received. However, I have to agree with the reviewers who were disappointed with their stay. We booked a standard room and requested one with a shower (not all the bedrooms have one!).... more

We got married at the Lady Anne Hotel Stamford on 19th September 2008 and I have just got to say that the Lady Anne Hotel was fantastic. The staff are great and big thanks to Geoff and Warren who made it a day to remember. The Hotel is old fashioned but that's the makeup of the town that it's in,... more

Some of the reviews are a little harsh, but they give a general feel for what the hotel is like. It is dated and in need of a makeover - but it is in a great location. . The town centre is a gentle stroll away. If you are planning to stay in the hotel most of the time then... more

What a shame! We used to live in Stamford in the 1980's and Lady Annes then was a superior, genteel place to stay. When we returned for a reunion it was the obvious choice. What a mistake. It had hardly changed, which when you are running a hotel with the original 1980's decor is a pretty damning state of affairs.... more

We are surprised at these comments 6 months after Mr. Hardwick’s stay and especially after our letter to him dated 18th March 2008 wherein we thanked him for his concern and understanding of the difficulties experienced for a privately run Hotel that has a difficult Landlord. Despite Mr. Hardwick’s comments that the Hotel has the original 1980 Décor the Hotel...

We had our wedding reception at Lady Annes Hotel in August, and I wanted to say what a fantastic job they did of hosting the event for us. I did have my concerns, as email communication is not a strong point for the hotel, but on the day I really did have nothing to worry about as Geoff Hastings had... more

I felt I must write to you to say a huge thank you for the way the wedding of my grandaughter Amy and Darren was arranged by yourselves, it was really magnificent! Also we were delighted to be staying at you lovely hotel, where every attention was given to us, by your staff, and reception. Our room was delightful, so... more

Lady Anne could be a shabby chic, chinzy lass of dignified faded glory refusing to be modernised because of pride. I would respect her for that! By reading the reviews you could be forgiven for thinking that it has this charm. Whatever charm it had is fading fast and Lady Anne is now a clapped out bedraggled and confused "has... more
