I have stayed here a few times over the years but recently it's gone down hill quite badly The business is now for sale and I can see why The room was ok apart from the roof that leaks and single pillow that was as flat as a pancake I did ask for a second pillow and was told "I'll... More

It is shocking! Dirty filthy place with dirty sheets and bedding and more dirty bathroom. When complained lady put the phone down on me. Could not take the criticism at all. She told me this is a cheap hozel what do you expect... well, not this for sure. Please do not even think to book a room here, you will... More

Our room was very cold, no heating available. The room was musty, the bed hard, the washbasin cracked, there was mould all around, and in the shower, which also leaked in two places. The access to the lounge area was locked, so we were confined to our cold room. There were no staff onsite overnight, should an emergency have arisen.... More

Upon arrival was greeted by a friendly hotelier. Room was as expected for price, breakfast was continental and was refreshing and came along with a friendly, attentive service. No issues, good stay, very reasonable price. Would visit again

A nice lady showed us to our room after 10 mins of sitting in the lounge area. i didn't take my coat off as it was very cold. As soon as she showed us our accommodation i was shocked to say the least. The room was the most depressing room i have ever been in.. old fashioned, tatty and dusty. The... More

We booked this hotel in advance using Booking.com; a twin room at a cost of £42 was booked. We chose this hotel for a weekend to Leeds and as we're both used to staying in hostels, are prepared for basic accommodation. A couple of weeks prior to our arrival I received an email notifying me of a problem with the... More

On arrival we were shown to our room by a very pleasant young man, the room was cold, apparently the boiler was being repaired, when the heating came on the room was warm. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable but the top cover did have a cigarette burn in it, the tea/coffee making facilities left a lot... More

Although I found the room comfortable, the customer service leaves much to be desired. I booked through Booking.com and based my choice mainly on price. It is relatively inexpensive, so expect an extremely basic experience. Be aware that the reception closes at 10pm so going for an after dinner drink and checking in later than this is not allowed. This... More
