We stayed one night here in March. The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast wasn't bad either. The hotel, however, is definitely in need of an upgrade! It was definitey tired and dated and the lift didn't work. Hence, we had to drag our bags up to the first floor, which is... More

Slap bang in the middle of Wakefield, so very convenient. Staff were delightful, but the décor was a bit "oh dear". Room was spotless but tired, and the windows were fastened shut, so a distinct lack of fresh air. the bed was comfy and clean but I didn`t see a remote for the t.v. (although I wasn`t there to watch... More

Great hotel for location as it's in the city center, it's nr all night live but not loud. I alway book here for when I go round Wakefield drinking but other wise I wouldn't stay there for holiday that's for sure ! Eg: no kettle, no heating & no remote

this is the single dirtiest and worst place I have ever stayed in. use the word hotel carefully because I wouldn't call this a hotel. more like a step up from sleeping in the street. every surface in the room was dirty, the room was roasting hot and smelt. you could feel the springs popping out of the top of... Picked this hotel for the location, I had read the reviews but didn't think it could be that bad, It was! This was obviously a very lovely hotel once upon a time and it was sad to see how run down it has become. There is no lift and unfortunately all the rooms are on the 3rd floor and above... More

I unfortunately had the experience of a stay here.. Locked my self out of my house and couldn't find another hotel free late on a Friday night early morning.. Room was grubby, curtains falling off the rail. Carpets threadbare and filthy. The bathroom was disgusting, no shower , mouldy tiles and bath. No drinking water, don't get the point of... More
