Don't know where the revamp was cause it wasn't in our rooms or the shared bathroom. Continental breakfast a joke. About 4 tubs of cereals & a few jams in the fridge. After the band finished about 12 fell asleep to be woken about an hour later by thumping music. Now nearly 4am, just read reviews & wish I had... More

On a Friday and Saturday Night this pub becomes a nightclub until 6AM . Dance /Rave Music at very high volume made it impossible to sleep . Overall it basic and not that clean ,its close to city centre and on other nights for the money would be OK

If you want a cheap B&B convenient to the centre of Wakefield then this is ideal. The rooms are clean and basic with shared bathrooms. The breakfast is self service and available all day. The pub has real ales and evening entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful.

If you want to be out all night and just want a bed to crash in for a couple of hours while you are trolled. This is the place for you. Best thing about this place is the free parking. The rooms are very basic with spiders webs everywhere. Old worn towels. Stained bed linen. Shared bathrooms with other drunken... More

For the price this is exactly what I expected. All the basics were there and the room rate is low for a city centre location. Noise levels were what you would expect for the location, I stayed on a Thursday night and there wasn't any nightclub activity within earshot, although this may not be the case at the weekend.

When I first entered I was greeted by some friendly staff that showed me around the b&b. My room was okay, clean and had a nice view. The TV didn't have signal but it didn't matter anyway as I was only there to sleep. I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't a kettle in the room. Think there were... More

Stayed here for 4 nights when me and a few colleagues were working locally. The place was ideal with a pub downstairs showing all the sports channels, all staff were friendly and we ended up having great banter with the locals. A great place to stay, centrally located I'm the city and most of all.... great value for money!!
