We stayed in the gatekeepers lodge, a little cottage in the hotel grounds and it was just fabulous! The bathroom was the gorgeous and very spacious, the bedrooms were luxurious and we had loads of space downstairs. The breakfast in the hotel was very good, plenty of choice and good hot selection. What a fabulous location to celebrate a special birthday. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, the staff were excelllent in the service they proivded. The room was excellent and clean, so relaxing, with great views of the lake and hall. The food was mouth watering, and will be back. more

Thank you for your comments. As we discussed the hotel bedrooms do not have air conditioning in them,or advertise that fact, we do provide cooling fans in all our bedrooms as in Summer when the weather is good the rooms can get warm too.

Thank you for your comments. Yes we are a very busy hotel and do a large number of weddings. We can do two per day as we have two hotels and both wedding parties are kept separate. We go to great lengths to ensure this, making sure both weddings can use the fantastic setting of the lake as a backdrop...

We had our wedding reception here this year. I cannot fault the hotel as the reception was perfect from start to finish. The staff were professional, organised, courteous and friendly at all times.
