Awful place. On an industrial estate next to main city road. Chalet arrangement where access to rooms is outside along narrow balcony. Walkway dirty. Foyer carpet dirty. Tea making holder dirty and floor tiles dirty. You had to unplug tv to use the sole plug available. No staff on site between 11pm and 7 am. Just given an emergency number.... More

The hotel is good value for what you pay. Good points, clean fair size room with comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, 32" flat screen tv, good shower and quite. Bad points. Looking a litle tired ln the exterior, in my room the shower tiles and grout are in need of a good clean and just some grout whitening would... More

The people who have written very negative reviews of this hotel seem to have unrealistic expectations of a budget hotel. The (French) design is slightly unusual in that instead of internal corridors to the rooms, these are serviced by exterior balcony walkways. These public areas are a little 'tired', but considering they are exposed to the elements, Axminster carpets are... More

Simple hotel but for the price they offered everything we really needed, the chap who served us was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Meals were great. Only downfalls are limited WiFi access, a damp floor in our room which was a bit smelly.

very quiet nice room, staff excellent. being in an industrial estate made for a nice quiet nights sleep. Dinner was good, breakfast also. Somewhat old, but it was cheap, room was very clean. Overall, better than some that have advertised themselves a wonderful

From the soulless industrial estate location to the disinterested, unkempt receptionist, we should have just walked away before spending £45 on the room (yes - £45!). The hotel looked unloved and the balcony had rotting panels and lichen growing from the dirty green mat. Ok. We thought it was bearable until the nighttime. As the place shuts down at 11pm... More

This motel is very dated with shabby linen, decor and furniture. It is American motel style so rooms open on to outside balcony and although they have locks they are flimsy at best and not very secure. It is located in an industrial estate so quite lonely and generally not a safe and secure environment one would expect from a... More

Having stayed in a Campanile in Dartford ,we booked a weekend on 18th july for 2 nights ...set in the middle of an industrial estate this was to say the least the shabbiest looking hotel (I use the term loosely ) that I have ever had the misfortune to set foot in . We requested a ground floor as i... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for several days to commute to work whilst waiting for our flat to be ready. To be fair for the price we paid we could never expect luxury. £30 per night for two people is a bargain and I appreciate that. My only real complaint about the room was the lack of plug sockets... A three day trip to Yorkshire. The Campanile Wakefield seemed very good value and we remembered staying, with the family, at different Campanile hotels en route across France, with their comfortable basic rooms and impressive buffet breakfast. As we drove through the small industrial estate, our first view of the hotel was that it looked like a typical Campanile with... More
