I turned up at the hotel at 2 pm, having booked it a few days earlier. I needed to complete work before a meeting and so was keen to get started. I waited ten minutes for the one receptionist to finish a phone call about a booking problem - content to wait for that to finish. I then completed my... More

Stopped in a few hotels in the area for business, and I'd say this is the worst I've been to. I understand people saying "It's just a cheap one night stopover, you get what you pay for", however there's a LOT better for the same price have a look around. It's just small and dirty, twin beds almost touching, couldn't... More

We only paid £31.50 for the night and it wasn't that bad. The bed was actually pretty comfy and the shower was good, it did take a while for the water to go down though. The room had roll down shutters so we managed a bit of a lie in which was good. I avoided walking around the room with... More

Room could have done with a good clean.Carpet was filthy with a huge stain on it. When I spoke to the receptionist about the state of the room she said she knew but the rooms were due to be updated! I wouldn't stay here again.

As our title suggests, avoiding the plague in this hotel is easier said than done. The place is disgusting, smelly, filthy, run down and in need of a lot of money spending on it to get it to even a basic standard. When we checked in at the reception it was like the tap room of an 80s working mens... More

We have used Campanile hotels several times in Europe ...do not confuse the quality of them with this hotel. The room we stayed in was very tired, the bed had seen much better days and so had the rest of the decor. When we arrived there was not hot water or shower gel in the bathroom. The restaurant was not... More

Let me start by saying what you pay is what you get. I paid £40 for one night. I stayed here for one night and was anxious before I checked in due to the mixture of good and bad reviews. The room was clean and tidy, however there are some things that need upgrading, the mattress was pretty damn poor,... More

Stopped in the Campanile while on business in Wakefield as company cutting back on expenses. The hotel is what it says on the tin: a no frills, no stars place to stay. It doesn't pretend other wise and delivers what it promises. Rooms are cheap and cheerful as clean as they can be with the 70's decor. Very American Midwest... More
