I held a conference here in June, and stayed the night before. We chose the hotel due to it's competitive delegate rate. We have used many Campanile hotels in the past and found them of varying quality- this certainly wasn't one of the better ones! The location of this Campanile is on an industrial site on the outskirts of Wakefield. But don't let that put you off; this is actually the nearest you'll get to the genuine French Campanile in the UK. I stayed in the hotel with my boyfriend after we had attended a wedding reception close by. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfy after a long day. The rooms had everything you could need in them for a one night stay and the check in staff were very friendly. I would definately stay in another Campanile... more

Alright before I start .. yes it is located in a sort of retail park area ... but I have no complaints whatsoever about the Campanile ... a taxi ride into town on average cost around £3.50 and for 4 people that works out as next to nothing! I agree with the other reviewer - the hotel is at the far end of an industrial estate (tyre shops, fast food manufacturers), which is a bit weird.
