The hotel is well located for Wakefield Town Centre shopping and Dining. The Car Park is a problem though with more cars parked outside than in their car park during our visit. Cars parked in the College Car Park need to be moved by 8am on days the college is open. This will mean extra street parking charges as there... more

The Travelodge in Wakefield is centrally situated and ideal as a place to stay if you wish to enjoy Wakefield nightlife. At £19 for a large room which is clean and basic, it was incredibly good value. more

We stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed the really central location. Parking is a bit hit and miss (we were lucky). Can be a bit noisy but what the heck - it's in the city centre! more

We stayed at this hote for 1 night on March 13th - Found the hotel with no problems, although it is tucked away in a poorer area of the town. We arrived late on the Friday night, so our first problem was trying to find a parking space - there are some spaces under the hotel, but no-where near enough... more

Very shabby, dirty room. Carpet had not been vacuumed, dirt on the walls. Room very cold, only 1 small electric wall heater. Key cards did not work and could not be immediately fixed by sloppy receptionist who constantly sniffed! No towels. Pub opposite unbelievably noisy....ask for a rear room. No parking as small car park full, mostly with staff cars... more

We stayed in this travelodge for a school half term two night break. The booking was made in one of the travelodge sales, so only cost £30 in total. The room was modern and spacious, the furniture was comfortable. The children were impressed to find cbeebies on the new wall mounted flat screen tv. Wakefield was a good base for... more

This is the best Travelodge I have ever stayed in. I use Travelodge regularly as they offer very good room rates via the internet and found this the best by far. It was a little noisy on the saturday night due to noise from the pub across from the hotel but this is to be expected for a city centre... more

Great location right in the centre of town. Walking distance to shops and pubs. Wetherspoons round the corner. Room was recently decorated with flat screen TV on the wall and decent double bed. If you are looking for centrally based reasonably priced travelodge then this will suit your needs. Having been to many I would say this was the best... more

This is a BRAND NEW Travelodge in the centre of Wakefield and in all honesty you couldnt wish for a better location!!! Literally out of the door and up the incline for 5 mins and you are smack bang in the middle of where the nightlife begins, bit further by the time you hit the nightclub, but still within 10mins... more
