Staff are very friendly and really helpful, people who have slated this hotel obviously have champagne tates but only want to spend lemonade money. Rooms were very comfortable, hotel was quiet and breakfast was however you wanted it. Would definitely stay again more

We were flying from Durham Tees Valley airport and simply could not have booked in a hotel in a better location. Price for B&B allowed us to leave our car at the hotel for the week and a quick walk through the car park got us to the airport in jig-time. The hotel is fine - a bit dated -... more

This a perfectly reasonable hotel for the price. We paid £55 for a double room and breakfast (which was good quality and plentiful). The place is a little tired and the bedroom was a little small. It was well equipped however. We had an evening meal in the bar - this was ok and pretty reasonably priced. All in all... more

We had to carry our cases up a flight of stairs to our room on the first floor. There is no lift and no Porter. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent and good value. The room was clean, bed was comfotable, the bathroom was very old and the plumbing very out dated, in fact it was so... more

Arrived at 10pm to a good welcome. Was asked if i planned to eat as the kitchen was about to close. Nice touch. I opted to head to sleep though. I'd requested and was given a single room, which was a surprise as I'd not stayed in a singele bed for years. Room was ok - only half of the... more

Drab, smelly, 20 years out of date, a most unpleasant experience. Positive reviewers, you really must live in squalid conditions if you think this place is nice. Avoid at all costs, unless, of course, you enjoy staying in dives. Good luck more

This hotel is a pleasant hotel on the doorstep of the airport. Literally 3 minute walk to the airport from the hotel. It is clean It is quiet, even though there was a function going on but we were at the other end of the hotel. Never even heard the planes. Believe this is because the runway and takeoff is... more

My wife and I stayed here in early 2005 for two nights following a tour of the UK staying in hotels which all cost more than we paid at the St George. The main reason most guests stay here is it's close proximity to Teesside airport (now renamed Durham Tees Valley) which is only about 200 yards away. The hotel... more
